Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Do any of the dealers have the Mocha Brown interiors as a demo or show car?

Further, has anyone received a likely delivery date for the same? I read somewhere that M&M will release some kind of allocation schedules on 25 October.

Anyway, the Mocha ones will be delivered from January 2025 is what has been stated.

This is exactly what one should expect when buying the Thar Roxx.
If Creta/XUV 700 are in your list of cars you are looking around, Roxx isn't the car for you unless you are willingly ready to make the said trade offs in ride comfort, practicality and absurd ingress/egress for daily use.

I was not looking for any SUV/CUV but got smitten when Roxx got launched. I'm fine as long as the ride is acceptable.Anyways booked AX7L Tango Red 4x4. It will be the 3rd car and I'm looking for a go anywhere vehicle and occasional highway drives.
I did two short test drives and I'm not sure if the ride is decent enough.

Is there any cancellation charge being levied by Mahindra.

I just cancelled this morning. There are no cancellation charges as per the popup. Let's see how long the refund takes.

I'm afraid it's not going to get any better. In my experience(long test drive), the ride was marginally better than that of the Fortuner. Completely different segments but I'm comparing it to a Body on Frame vehicle. It's still feels very utilitarian rather than feeling plush.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

The Insta is flooded with people getting custom seat covers/skin i.e. Tearing away the orignal and getting their custom color seats, Dashboard customized and door pads also.

Some even modifying the roof liner.

So Mahindra took cues from Roxx and incorporated all the inputs of Karol Bhag, while keeping Karol Bagh happy they threw in a new segment Interiors and Wheels segment for them to tinker with

There is a 10% cancellation charge for the bookings done online, which is mentioned in the website F&Qs.

But my dealer told me that if you cancel the bookings done at dealership then there is no cancellation charges.

It will take some time for Mahindra's vendors to get the Mocha brown interior ready for production. So no, you won't get to see them any time soon. It might hit showrooms for display a week before they start rolling to the customers.

The mocha brown interior is exclusive to the 4x4 variants for now, in case you missed it.

There is no cancellation charge up until 31 Dec and a 10% post that.

Thank you, pleased to see a proper walk-around video of the variant and the colour that I have booked. Has given me a ray of hope that this variant is being dispatched by Mahindra in the first lot.

Looks odd because he made it to Glossy black, it should be matt black which make it looks like desi wrangler and we should also avoid the door handle, and keep it to original colour.

Attaching a link who wrapped it in Matt black from an Youtube Video. This looks pretty clean.

I agree with everything except seat underthigh support, the seat needs to have good under thigh support for long drive, Roxx is not cheap to buy especially the top end, for my height, little but better under thingh support would have changed everything for me and i am sure for many who loved the Roxx but backed out , of course this is not applicable for everyone but for my comfort i need those under thigh support.

+1; I'm 6ft too. Same problem in most cars in this segment, lack of good under thigh support.

Adjustable lumbar support is also a big miss. I've been going through some back issues lately.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

In the spare wheel of the top most variant of the Roxx, there is a very neat looking 'star fish' shaped plastic hub cab that covers the rear view camera. It has a single screw and when removed reveals the somewhat cylindrical / tube shaped rear camera housing.
Question: For those who will upgrade / change from steel rims or stock alloys in lower variants, do you know if this central plastic hub cab will be available to buy as a spare part? It will be great if it would be available as I feel its a neat solution.
