Congrats! Emotion Pack always is more VFM. You will love the Blue & Me, indeed a useful thing. So how much was the OTR price, Just curious to know, I think Mysore or Bangalore prices would be same right since both are in Karnataka.

Ya.. The karnataka government makes sure it loots its people throughout the state..!
On road price was around 7,16,000 ... 95K alone is the road tax..! Got seat covers, fiat parking sensors with the mirror display and garware film for 10K from the dealer. 25% off on the parking sensors and around 30-40% off on film..

My 1.4 Epk cost around 6.93. I took the delivery last week. I was given the garware film for free though I tried to bargain for 3M. I missed the parking sensors. Will check the quote from Prerana.

Congratulations! It's great to see the 1.4 motor becoming more popular on teambhp. It's an engine that has been a little overshadowed by it's sibling, but in my opinion, it's a fantastic engine, with a engine note to die for.

Did they drill 4 holes on the rear bumper and spoil the looks ? How much did the sensor cost finally after discount and do you find it useful ?

I've been thinking on getting one fixed on my Punto.

I believe there are two types of fiat parking sensors for the Punto. One with the mirror display and the other one with just the beep. The mirror display one costs 6K, so with the 25% off it came to 4500. Not sure if they do the drilling, since i have not yet gone home to see the car I have posted a pic of the rear with the sensors in one of my previous posts. Since FTA is a new colour they did not have the body coloured ones.
Our parking is in a apartment basement, where both our cars are parked one behind the other. The parking sensors make it a lot easier, especially for mum.

The FTA costs about 4k more and we did not get the corporate discount. The dealer initially agreed for free film, but siad he'll give only the basic one for around 700 or something. So we paid the difference and got the better one.

You can see it is fitted in the second one of fiat_tarun's snaps.

I've ordered for a Xenos reverse sensor with mirror display when the day before I took delivery of my Punto. However, when I saw the car before PDI, realized that it will spoil the minimalist looks of the Punto and I cancelled the order. Besides, the mirror is not anti-glare, and actually a bit big for the Punto.

The Xenos comes with sensors in black, white, sliver and beige colors. (My Punto is Medium Grey). It has 6 sensors, 4 on rear + 2 on front bumpers. The price is around 5k, IIRC.

There's a Fiat-branded one (packed in white box with the Fiat logo but made by Autocop) that has only audio. It is a 4-sensor model; price is 4500 IIRC, and you can by the same model, but Autocop-branded, from any accessory shop for less than half of the price, I learnt.

Here in Navi Mumbai Tata-Fiat dealer is giving a 4 sensor parking unit from Xenos for Rs 4250, with mirror display. This is certified by Fiat and is listed in their accessory list. Reverse camera for 7k. Yes, they do drill holes on the rear bumper.

When asked about the 6 sensor unit they said Fiat does not recommend drilling the front bumper and hence they sell only 4 sensor one from Xenos. I guess we get 6 sensor ones from RD for about 3k from accessory shops, but dealer said it will void the warranty if we do it from outside.

With the low visibility at the rear, parking sensors would definitely be useful for the Punto. But will the IRVM look darker than the original IRVM from Fiat?

The last hike in Petrol prices in Karnataka finally did it. At least that's what I rationalize it with - but truth be it that I've been lusting for the Fiat Punto for sometime now. I finally did it. Traded in my Hyundai i10 for a Medium Grey Punto Emotion. Took delivery of it last evening, did a 140 km drive (drove upto Channapatna McDonald's and back), decided to go in for alloy wheels (strike while the iron's hot!) this morning and did it! After trading in my set of stock rims for Rs.1500, I paid up Rs.16250/- for a set of 5. (16500 for the set, 650 for spray painting the rusted drums inside, 250 for filling the tyres with Nitrogen from a cylinder and 350 for the whell balancing). Wheels look snappy now....

Still haven't got my registration number yet - RTO was chock-o-block full due to excess amount of registration before the commencement of month of Aashad from tomorrow (for those who are wondering what this is all about, for the next month, all vehicle dealers are going to face the driest month of the year. In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, no one will commence anything auspicious during this month.) Am attaching some pics of the car - did not take those of the interiors - it's a bit messy thanks to the rain (and the puja before we drove to Channapatna). As you can see from the wet road, washer her sqeaky clean before the pics...

[quote=Zenster;1975588]Hey Buddies, thanks a lot for your wishes. Sorry to create any confusion if i have with the pricing. I was just mentioning the OR price in bangalore for the 1.2 Emotion. My deal was [5.87 - (Insurance) - (Extended Warranty) - (RoadSide Assistance) - (Corp Discount)] = 5.6lacs (approx). Plus he has promised to give me a Car Body Cover (not in stock)

HI Zenster..congrats on your purchase of GP..wishing you happy miles .
Your OTR cost was 5.6L. & the Exshowroom cost of your car is 4.98L . Is it that only 13% is added to the Exshowroom cost to make it OTR.
If yes then its deal from Fiat .

and which showroom did you buy from

Congrats Stolichnaya on the purchase. The alloys look hot.By the way my car is also of the same colour. As Gopikb has mentioned, do post the comparison between I10 and Punto.

In the meantime, I have completed 10000 kms on my Punto. I will go for an oil change in the month of November / as soon as I complete 15000 kms. That would be the first oil change and as per the recommendation from the manufacturer.Just checked the oil quantity in the crankcase, the engine has not cosumed oil. Will probably go for Mobil 1 synthetic oil.

My thoughts are in bold.

How can we fit the number plate then?

In my case the dealer said it MAY void the warranty IF we do it from outside BY cutting any wires.

It is a bigger mirror, and is not anti-glare; that is, when we add one safety device, we are effectively nullifying another equally important one. My 2c.
