Dear all - please read my post in the Himalayan Rally flashback thread in the motorsports section. In 1982, I went from Mumbai to Delhi, then on the rally route and came back to Mumbai in MMD6300, Mr.Vasant Patki's rally prepared group A 1976 model Padmini. The number adds upto 9 and also ends in 00. There are only 10 such numbers in the complete series. There is something in the number 9.

I totally agree with you. These are some double nine registration cars in todays time which we know of. BLL4919, MRY3499, MH01B4979 . What say ??

He is a die hard Fiat fan. After years of searching for a Fiat 1100, he finally bought a Super Select. He is really proud to be the new owner of this Fiat. He bought it from TN.

FCBian Saleem (beetle_boy) called me in the morning to inform about a Fiatian who was interested in joining FCB. He he is a Central Govt employee working with CPRI.

He also told that Mr. Jayaram Reddy's Black Elegant MYB 7333 is sold to a Businessman in Bangy. He too is keen on meeting us on Aug 1st.

This craze of finding Fiats and meeting the owners is growing.

We have aanother new member. He is a magician by profession and has a PP 1986 blue color. His name is Jaggu Jaadughar. He too is very keen to meet us on 1st August. It took him 3 days and lot of effort to track us down after he saw an article in Praja Vaani which is a local kannada paper.

Hi arun, as mr. sharief said, MSS is a Madras (ok, chennai! ) city regn. (note Madras city = Chennai, where all regn. no.s started with MS*, whereas Madras district, with MD* regn., meant any district in the now TN state, which was entirely referred to officially as Madras state back then)

One of my current neighbours told me they had a cream Super-select also brought from Madras- MSS 672, albeit they used it here in hyd. with the same regn. for years! sold around late 90s (much before we knew them) Surprisingly, the gent says he never got the regn. changed here but the guy who bought the car from him here did!

Anywyas, I digress. Congrats to one more OHH REE GEE NAL 1100 in FCB fleet, may your tribe (inc. your own! ) increase in the same way!
