FIat 1100 1954 - 1972

To those who know not much about the various models of Fiat 1100. Wannabe FCBians, choose which Fiat 1100 you would like to own!

Fiat 1100 cars in India were built by Premier Automobiles Limited(PAL). PAL was started by Walchand Hirachand. Millecento means ElevenHundred. All 1100 Series cars are actually Millecento(ElevenHundred). But had different model names.

All the Fiats below, belong to Fiat 1100 Club - Bangalore(FCB). The Fiats shown are almost completely original according to their model except for few bits.

1954 to 1955 - Fiat 1100 Millecento:
It was popularly called "Dukkar". They had suicide doors. Tail lamps were called "anda"(egg) style, two round meters in the dash, Aluminium grill with Mustache!etc

This Fiat had the suicide doors. The rear got the famous fin tails. The dicky had hinges outside. No quarter glass. Thin side trims. The body shell was imported from Italy and engine was locally assembled. The side indicators were called "fish type".

Yeah PK, our boys are planning big for a rally on D-day.

We FCB guys hope that Namma Pavan will finally attend a FCB rally after 18 months of FCB formation.

Firstly, my Palio may not be there on time. Even if it is, wouldnt be used for the wedding. I would still prefer my 118 NE or the S1 as my ride to the marriage and so on!

On the independance day along with our national flag, keep FIAT flag waving!!!!!!
And of course S1 is a transition between 3rd & 4th generation FIATs in India.

Really appreciate the thought of this post and would be very helpful for a lot of wannabe FCBians. I have another request to Team FCB. Can you please quote the expected buying prices for these cars as we would not want wannabe FCBians driving the price up and we getting

Since prices are all a matter of negotiation, model, condition etc please list price only for a restorable car which requires another 75K to restore back to originality. I would advice not to quote prices of a restored car as this leads to unnecessary price speculation.

As a matter of advice to all the wannabe FCBians there is not better gang than the FCB founder members Karthik, Arun, Karthik & Sujith to advice on price on any Fiat you want to buy. Their passion for this brand is amazing.

Jai Hind FCB

KPS

PS: Karthik, congratulation on your impending marriage.

Thanks a lot KPS for your wishes.

Following are the prices of Fiats(In unrestored condition) currently in Bangalore market to the extent we know.

Millecento/Elegant - 45k
Select/Super Select - 35k
Delight - 20k

All the above prices are on higher side. These days all want to have a classic car and Fiats are easiest to find and restore.

The most affordable Fiat to buy and restore is Delight. These days many Delights land up in Gujiri and the scrap wallahs dont care for it at all even though they know its a original Fiat.

We also love some Padminis' to be saved. Very good Padmini is available for say 20- 25k.

But none of we four guys buy/sell Fiats. So owners/dealers who are willing to sell, are the best people to be consulted for buying Fiats. I am very happy that these days people who love Classic Fiats, are instead willing to buy a Padmini!

Hey HerStan, these are the prices that could sound reasonable to a buyer. I know. Even here, they quote super duper prices, generally
