Attached is an old picture, a Rolls in a showroom, no idea where or when. Could even possibly be from a movie. But on the back of the picture there is no stamp of any of the movie studios or their agents, that was normally found on studio publicity pitures.
Looking forwrd to some inputs.

Cheers harit

This is a still from the movie 'The Yellow Rolls-Roycë' with Rex Harrison admiring a Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sedanca de Ville by Barker, positioned in the Hooper former showroom (who already stopped coachbuilding by the time the movie was made), now in use by Swaine Adeney & Brigg.

Absolutely right. The moment I saw the photo I new it was from The Yellow Rolls Royce, with Rex Harrison, Omar Sharif and Ingrid Bergman. What a great movie and what a lovely car. But I distinctly remember when the car was delivered to Lord Fenton(?)i.e. Rex Harrison, it was covered with a Hooper car cover, so I always thought it was Hooper bodied. I could be wrong though, saw the movie atleast 10 years ago.

Yes it was from movie "Yellow Rolls Royce" this movie was shown many times on TCM channel. They purchased this Rolls from show room somewhere in Italy and roam around in Europe. There were other nice vintage cars besides RR in the showroom but the lady like this yellow Rolls, and they bought it and move around.

The Delhi cars must have been Lalaji's or Choudhries. They are probably still with the same owners. Probably.

The resto projects were discussed earlier on this thread, I think also by Steve Stuckey. Don't remember details.

MPA is actually MFA, a Silver Ghost, and is from the Mallya collection. It is formerly Mayurbhanj I think.

The picture next to it is the BMW regd 20hp of Fali Dhondhy - another great car, and a regular entrant in rallies in Bombay and Pune. I believe it was restored after being acquired in boxes, with many parts missing.

my my. What a roller. If I am not mistaken the 3rd picture shows a mini bar right in the driver's cabin along with a full bar in the rear as seen in the 4th picture.

What is the history of DLB xxxx and the other Delhi Regestered RR's in those pics.

DLB must be a very nice car to look at, those rims are also something really nice.

The two restoration projects have been discussed before in this thread. These are two of Vohra's three cars, which were lying is storage in Chennai with a fourth Rolls which did not belong to Vohra. Subsequently all cars were shifted to Indore, and restored.
The car on the left is a 20HP Bharatpur car which originally had a Weyman fabric body.
The other is a P III, maybe the ex-Baroda car? These have been discussed before.

Cheers harit

It looks pretty well put together. The proportions of the body are remarkably good.

Don't know what those the drawers are doing under the running board and what is that light and keyhole kind of things to be seen above them.

Wold love to see the other car on which this is based.

Did you guys notice one thing? The portion below the door and above the running board probably flips open. See the pic below i have marked out that portion. This would probably answer the question of why there is a keyhole.
