The id. are correct except for the last car which is (I think) a post-1920 Silver Ghost lim dv.

These are previously posted photos of RR 20hp cars, does anyone have any ideas about them or their owners as I'd like to write to them and find out the chassis numbers. Is (or was) one of these cars #64H9 1923 Barker tourer with hand control conversion for the Maharajah of Udaipur?

From the preceding post:
The black 20hp is 64H9 1923 Barker Barrel tourer with hand controls for The Maharajah of Udaipur. Here's a shot of the Steering wheel and dashboard. The accelerator is on the steering wheel and you can just see the hand clutch lever mounted on the gear change lever. There is also an additional brake lever for the brakes (rear only) but its out of sight.
The second photo in the last post of a blue 20hp Park Ward has identified as GCK34 1925 Arnold tourer sold to Sir Arnold Barrie.





So the third car is still a mystery and so are these two 20/25s

MHC 707, the silver and black Kellner 20 25 has been advertised for sale in this months Autocar India.

I dont know if I had mentioned this, but I once had a 3 hour chat about this car (amongst others) with the son of a previous owner on a Bombay-Poona bus ride. His father was a well known and respected RTO, and he bought the car from a dealer in Bombay who had gotten it from one of the better known Maharajas, I forget which, in non running condition but requiring minimal work. If Im not mistaken he paid 7000 rupees for it, back in the 50s/60s. He mentioned he still treasures the Kellner plate he removed from the car before he sold it.

I doubt they would let it go. Im told they are looking for 1.5cr for it.

I am new to this forum, and have been put on to it by my mate Andre Blaize in France ("ParkWard"). I am the PIII historian, living in Australia and the author of the PIII articles that appeared in the Aus club magazine "Praeclarum" (see items 145 and 248 in this thread). What I'll do is post the definitve list of the PIIIs that went to India/Pakistan, and then follow up with detailed individual histories of the cars.
Most of the sub-continental PIIIs seem to have survived, most still in India or Pakistan, even if some of them are in a pretty horrid state of repair. I'd really appreciate corresponding (on this list or off it) with people in India who know about these cars.
I also have reasonable database entries for most coachbuilt RRs.
