re: Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet

. But even LS2 has some features which cannot be replicated and mass produced. For example the current helmet that I own is a LS2 SUPRA FF358.2 with an AIR GO system with pump which permits to modify fit through air-inflation system in cheek pads and also reduces the aerodynamic noise inside the helmet.

Even this helmet has an ECE 22.05 certification code as a sticker. I am not sure about embossing but printing a certification code on a helmet is even simpler and cost effective method than printing stickers and pasting it.

How easy did you find that feature to use? I ran out of steam trying to pump it up!

And then the store guy did some tightening up and then i could pump it up albeit it took a long time to firm up.

Nevertheless an innovative feature!

re: Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet

Initially I too had some difficulty to pump it up. Also I did not find any difference inside until I took it for a ride. When I crossed three digit speeds, I could feel the difference between other helmets and this one. Have to admit it feels really comfortable to wear during rides.

re: Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet

Friends can anybody suggest a good website in India where I can buy a safe helmet for my 6 year old son... he already has a bicycle kind of helmet What I am looking for is at least half face or still better full face helmet

If you guys know of any shop in Mumbai that sells kids helmet... please let me know.. I feel kind of ashamed when i wear the full armour jacket and my kiddo has to make do with some skating elbow guards, knee guards and bicycle helmet.
cheers!

re: Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet

Friends I currently own a GP One full face helmet which nicely complements my Pulsar 200NS.
Now during city rides somehow I feel that the full face helmet is a pain as you have to remove it everytime you need to stop for even a small task. Note: The town I reside in is quite small with max. 5 minutes ride to anyplace I would like to go.

Hence I am now looking out for a good open face helmet fully knowing their safety aspects. The best one I could find is this:

Studds Downtown: Rs.1800/- (Scroll down in the link below)

http://www.thehelmetshoppe.com/new-arrivals.html

Any better options....???

I was on the lookout for a helmet for my 4 yr old son too but couldn't find anything with ISI markings so bought a locally made one in a popular helmet shop for the time being. Something is better than nothing right?

There are no options here in India for kids helmets. If you seriously want a certified one, you can buy it from abroad.

Can someone tell me where in Bangalore I can go get some sticker work done on a helmet? I need good quality stickering that doesn't peel off!

Someone recommended by you is what I'm looking for as opposed to "go to JC road and find someone".

There's a Vega Eclipse for 1000 bucks in Bangalore which looks way cooler. Wind noise is horrible though. But its just a grand. You want something a LOT more expensive, then go check out bachoo motors on their website. There's one that retails at 7k.

Thanks a ton! Did this today, works pretty fine. The main usage will be to hear songs at a low volume. I don't think it will be a problem since I'm not using in-ear earphones which cut out the outside noise.

Try giving them a call. If they dont have your AGV in stock, you could ask if they can take an order and get it down for you

Thats quite pricey. Costs nearly the same as any imported adult helmet.
