Thanks. Got it for 6k here in Calcutta. The fitting is pretty decent for the price. What I like about SparX is that the padding doesn't sag very much with usage. With respect to the wind noise, if the eyebrow vents are open one does get a bit of noise. Otherwise, till about 130kmph or so, no significant sound. There is, however, a faint whistle while turning the head at some angles.
The locking mechanism is something I prefer: D-ring.

There is one thing that I miss on this lid: chin curtain. Thankfully had an extra one and its doing the job.

re: Which Helmet? Tips on buying a good helmet

Ok so I've been watching numerous bikers here in Chicago riding by with no semblance of a helmet anywhere. On further enquiries, I found out that riding with a helmet is not mandatory in the state of Illinois. What I was told is that they have done research on this and found that if you have a fall above 40 mph, it is going to be fatal anyways and that you will be riding at over 40 most of the time. Plus, trying to get a person who has survived a fall, out of his helmet before transporting him to the nearest hospital, is difficult and so they have gone with the no mandatory helmet rule.

For more, check the attached link http://bikersrights.com/states/illinois/illinois.html The Illinois Supreme Court has ruled that the law making helmet wearing mandatory was unconstitutional.

I feel like Obelix - tapping my head and saying "These Americans are crazy...."

Amazing job for a time pass job. Your friend ought to consider this as a hobby and generate some income out of it. I'm sure there will be quite a handful on this forum who would want a similar job.

That looks very proffesional work !!

Your friend should start this full time and he can do custom work on bikes aswell.

I liked the idea aswell which he has chosen, very neat.

I actually asked him to use his imagination and paint any design as it was my old helmet. I asked him to do this after I saw his work on my cosuins helmet which I liked. The desgin was of a old US fighter plane's nose, complete with the pin-up girl.
The only drawback was that I had to wait almost 15 months to see my helmet.
So when it comes to customers who are willing to pay for his work, the time period will not work.

Nevertheless, I have given him this link to have a look.
Regards
