Great find Suraj!

Just spoke to the owner, Hormuz. Their starting price for the jackets is 1K going all the way up to 38K for the textile Adventure series (Long Way Down types).

RST truly is top of the line. I'd easily place it quite a few levels above Alpinestars, and probably just a step below Dainese.

The Spartan Hercules Touring Boots has been discontinued as per the dealer in Pune.

The dealer is recommending me to get a PGS boots, Link: PGS Biking Gears

Any feedback about the quality of PGS boots, haven't heard of them !

Thanks for the info Doc !!

I never heard of the name PGS till today, it is really unknown territory. Spoke to Hormuz from Baycity Speed Shop about RST Touring boots. They do not have the stock currently but he said they will be getting a fresh consignment by may end. So I would play the waiting game for now !!

Err ... just noticed a typo (which I cannot edit anymore).

The starting price of the RST textile jackets is 11 K .... not 1 K.

Not sure which boot you looked up but a few that I compared looked otherwise:

TCX S-Sporttour Boot
sbkstore - 19,900
HNP - 11,900

TCX Airtech Gore-Tex Boots
sbkstore - 22,340
HNP - 16,500

Also, I have not found another store charging higher than sbkstore in India (maybe be in the entire world as well)

Oh my bad. I just checked the X-Action boots. The price difference was so high that I did not compare any other models.

TCX X-Action Waterproof boots

SBK Store: 8,510
HNP: 13,500

My aspida trousers which I bought in Nov 14 has its stitching at the seams coming apart. This is after a buckle stitching came off in a couple of months. The Helios jacket on the other hand is going great till now also purchased in Nov 2014.

I've used it for a little over 47000 Km & broke the zipper, which is my fault. Its a best VFM jacket in India.

Re: The Riding Gear thread

I was reading this thread and learnt that DMS boots are a good option. I found the following options:
1. Cliff Climbers Dms Hi Ankle Boots/Shoes on Snapdeal for Rs. 1790.
2. Combat boots on Oliveplanet for Rs. 999.
3. High Ankle Combat boots on Oliveplanet for Rs. 1849.

Option 2 is supposed to be the Army's replacement for the old DMS boots.

Which of these is the best option? Also are these shoes the real Army ones or just cheap replicas? How do I ensure I get hold of real Army boots. I do not have access to any Army canteen. What is my best option to get hold of these shoes?
