Re: The Riding Gear thread

Got these TBG ADV Breed ankle length boots last week. Total damage to the wallet was 6.5k including shipping. It looks well made and well finished with adequate protection. Haven't had a chance to ride with these but they feel fairly comfortable walking around. These are also quite stealthy.

Hey thanks for those numbers. The LS2 shop is just ahead of the D N nagar police station. Got the clear visor fitted from there and ended up saving 200 bucks as opposed to buying it on amazon.in

I really like these shoes. For the price they look wonderful.
I have Alpinestar SMX5 which is the full length boot. I am looking for half one's and these are quite high on my list. Full length one's rob you of rear brake pedal feel.

Can you please share where did you get these from?

CHEERS!!

Regards
Rachit.

I bought a pair of shoes from Wildcraft. You can check those online on their website. Have ridden with them in pouring rain and my feet were bone dry. These are also for INR 6.5K. The physical wildcraft store also has discounts on these which the online store doesn't give. They aren't riding shoes per se, but more like trekking boots, ankle length.

What is the sole thickness of normal riding boots which go full length. Trying to understand how much more inseam can I expect from boots. 2-3inch possible?

2 at the max with street/sport boots in my opinion. Mine is probably 1. MX are a different story I think.

Re: The Riding Gear thread

Does anyone retail the Sidi Tour Air boot in India? Not seen on the performance racing store.

Looks like a good boot - synthetic material, breathable, decent all around protection except on the shin, has no shin plate. Lugged and thick sole and also wide foot bed. Will help to offset my short inseam a little. Does not attract too much attention like other sports boots. Around $200.

Re: The Riding Gear thread

I want to buy Spartan Proteus riding pants. I wanted to try and buy from a store, but it is not available at Biking Spirit and Lets gear up. I am thinking about buying it online from Spartan website. I am 6'2" tall, and waist size of 32". Can anyone using spartan riding pant tell me what would be the size for me? Thanks

Check with Let's Gear Up, Bangalore. They stock Sidi boots, and last I saw were offering a 10% discount on them. Try them here: 09845541807, you'll get Sapna.

Re: The Riding Gear thread

Has any one used Dainese riding pants?
Any info on the price range would help me in deciding between alpinestar sticker pants or go for the Dainese.
Alpinestar sticker pants cost approx 11k.

Does Dainese at Orion Mall, bangalore has some stock of the pants?

Thanks slalom!
Since you have used the pants, can you let me know how is the air flow?
How do the you feel when you ride in typical Indian summer conditions?
