Yes indeed. Exchanged PM with princezahed. I have passed on the info to my friend as well.

Hopefully I might visit the place in the coming year.

@ princehead: Pics are on the way to my mail!

I am planning a trip to coorg this coming weekend (sep 20th). How are the latest road conditions and what would be the recommended route. Most likely I will take the civic. I hope the car can manage.

Any recommendations?

@Mods -> please delete this post. I posted the message on another thread that seems to be much more active than this one.

There is a small home stay where I stayed for 2 days in Coorg. It had space for just 2 families to stay, but food was very good. It is near kakabae.
You can reach out to Beena - 08272270026. FYI...This person is a relative of King Cottage resort, that is how I came to know about this place.

Dear Jasim,

If you are looking for nice homestay with your family, then i can suggest one. I've been to coorg 2 months back and stayed in a place called Priyadrashini homestay. This is one of the best homestay you can get at medekari. PM me if you want more info.

Regards,
Jossy

Hotel Coorg International is a good option. Bit high on price by Coorg standards.
Had been there a year back.

there are a lot of homestays. The tricky part is choosing the right one else our holiday may just get spoilt. Ambica and Priyadarshini are in town and according to jasim's needs, he wont be able to make noise in town. Coorg international is very expensive and their service sucks.

Thanks guys,

All your replies have been very useful. Also been in touch with our own dear Zahed. Anyways, we are 4 guys and 2 guitars (rather one and a half - as I'm just a beginner), So not much of a noise, but still a little noisy.. :P

I also wanted one tiny bit of information. I will be travelling from Cochin in a tiny little Spark, so, Is it better going via Calicut-Wayanad to Madikeri or can I take the Thalassery-Madikeri route? Can I afford being so adventurous in my Spark? Also since the roads fall in the WLS area, I'v heard that the roads are closed from 6pm-6am. Does greasing palms help in opening up the check post?
