I have been at it since 9 am. At least 100 OTPs received. But crashes when you reach the Payment screen. Wondering why they moved from old portal to Jio.

Well, at least some people are successful in booking as the tickets are steadily getting exhausted.

I tried with different browsers and one (Opera) worked finally. Payment option was UPI though.

I finally gave up for Oct. I reached the Payment portal too but it would just not accept any bank, card or UPI. Kept giving error.

Finally when I came back all dates I wanted or the time slots I wanted were gone.

Finally got the tickets booked. It was so horrendous experience this time. Went through all of these today

1. Waited for OTP - 8 times
2. "Unable to process, Please retry later " after entering person details and initiating the payment page - 12 times
3. " Unable to process, Please retry later" - payment page - 4 times

Every time we have to wait for the OTP, that's cruel.

Sorry saisree, for what you went through. Beyond the technical errors, as they commonly say, you can see the perumal /lord, only when he gives appointment and permission. Until then, even if we stand upside down, nothing can be done.

Just as a side note, my neighbour was able to book tickets easily

Very true. This booking was for a family friend an aged couple. I feel happy that, I could get them darshan.

My darshan is already permitted by perumal next Monday.

Since your profile says you are from AP03 (Chittoor district?), I heard from someone that residents of Chittoor district can book sarva darsan slot offline. Is this true?

Sarva Darshan is open for Chittoor district residents alone until tomorrow. But the huge crowd was a damper for the Covid control and TTD has stopped issuing it. Now its being moved to online ticketing for the remainder of September and October months. Tickets will be opened from 26th of this month. So no more offline tickets.

Lord only knows when I'll be able to see Him again! Last time I visited Tirumala in September 2019. I used to visit 1-2 times a year before Covid-19 struck.

I tried several times yesterday and the payment part of the process is where it broke down for me every single time

I tried today, and guess what, they have made a virtual Q with a timer that tells you how long you’ve to wait in virtual Q before you are allowed into the portal.

It’s a very strict Q as well. If you move away from the screen thinking that your wait time is 7 minutes and you’ll rather finish something else and get to that virtual Q page after7 minutres, you’re wrong. The virtual wait time starts afresh and the wait time can actually go up now.

Seriously, what does it take for them to handle concurrent users. Why would they play around with dates and quota release date each month. Why can’t they just keep it simple. This virtual Q is just too much. They anyways derive pleasure in putting so many Q’s and wait times when you are in Tirumala. They have successfully replicated this to a virtual Q too. Phew!
