LoG isn't DM in any sane person's opinion I think :

Suffocation? wow, not too familiar with their music although I have heard plenty of Incantation who are quite similar I think.

Nile, I am not too fond of, but their technical prowess is amazing.

anyways keep us updated on here with all and sundry gigs around the country...I am definitely going to something/anything which pops up in the 2nd half of the year this time.

LOG is a quite average and unoriginal. Don't know how they got so popular?

Incantation is much darker and satanic as compared to Suffocation. Check out Suffocation, they're one of the better DM bands.

The buzz is that BOA are trying to get Judas Priest to headline. I've got my fingers crossed and inverted.

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

My friend's band in Bangalore is looking for a drummer. Please send me a PM if anyone can help me with some reference.

Here is what they played recently in Kyra and they are called Black Rose!

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

@ wolfheart: checked out Holy Moses. Solid thrash \m/ Musically good but wish she sang cleanly instead of growling and roaring away like Angela :(

Big respect for her abilities but somehow puts me off when i cant make sense of what she/he is singing.

Got their entire discography. It's playing away on my car these days. Getting used to them. Thanks.

Currently on my car:
Holy Grail,
Battle Beast,
ReVamp,
Beautiful Sin,
Primal Fear,
Wizzard,
White Wizard,
Primal Rock Rebellion

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

I would love to see Priest more since its their last tour (+ I love them more than Kreator), but Kreator will be a fine addition too.
'Riot of Violence' played live would be cracking.

Whatever the case, bad-*** headliners for a first ever festival..Just hope they don't spring a nasty surprise like the Testament/Slayer date last year or bring some stuff like Bodom/CoF

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

Iced Earth by themselves would be an awesome act to watch. Sad Matt is not there but the new dude does have a fine set of pipes.

If the main headliners are Priest then it sure would be a fine night \m/

I hope we are all "...in for a surprise; in for a shock; aaaaahhhh"

re: The Heavy Metal & Rock Thread

Any ideas about the program/day schedules are going to be like for BOA? I mean if they are trying to compare themselves to Wacken, a lot of bands and a lot of music is expected. Also, is it going to be limited to Heavy Metal and beyond (I really hope so!) or will we also have pop/rock and other types.
