Bar-be-Que Nation:

Lunch at Gurgaon on a weekday is 300 bucks (includes one free drink)

Dinner at JanakPuri on a Saturday was 450 bucks per head no drink included. The drink is included only if you order before 8 PM. The live music in JanakPuri was very entertaining, as was the food and service and the valet parking for those who prefer it ( I don't).

The menu for lunch and dinner differs in the number of options. 3 starters each in veg and non-veg for lunch. 5 each for dinner plus an extra dish or two in the main course.

Advice: The starters are slightly better than the main course, or so it felt since I stuffed myself with starters and did not have much appetite for the main course . Desserts are also nice.

Recommendation: Masala Cola is a nice drink (its not included in the free drink list either for dinner or lunch). Pina Colada should be avoided.

All in all: Total paisa vasool if you are a glutton

Burp !!!!!!!!

Khan Chacha @ Khan Market

Had my dinner at Khan Chacha yesterday. Certainly one of the best places to have kebabs and rolls in Delhi.

I have been there hundreds of times. Absolutely love the place. Mutton tikka rolls are to die for. Courteous staff. Easy on the pocket too!

Exactly, It's a few meters away from Al-Bake. I forgot to mention that after consuming 2 plates of kebabs, i also had one meat shwarma from Al-Bake and packed 2 for home

Yes, it has been closed down.

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Ministry of Sound New Delhi, India opened on 9 February, 2007[1] and is located at C Block Vasant Kunj. It is now closed due to a number of reasons, one of them being heavy disputes regarding the franchising rights between franchiser and franchisee, another one being that the owner was not allowed to run a nightclub in the particular property, due to its location in a residential area, and such the club was repeatedly shut down by the authorities during its opening hours.

Kasbah is a nice place. The rates are on a bit high side but service and ambience is good. A evening get together for 4 people with drinks and food may cost you around 1500-2000 bucks.
And in case you do not get a seat there on weekends as quiet a rush then just next is Urban pind which i feel is much better than Kasbah and also offers Hookahs till 7 pm.

Please dont kill me for for this but i didnt like the food/snacks at Khan cha cha at all.
Went there after hearing so much about the place but came back disappointed.
The meat/chicken was over spiced plus the chutney was too sour.
Will give it another try soon.

Also been to ZEN(chinese restaurant in CP) last week.
WONT recommend anyone to go there. Pathetic service. My friend ordered JD and they brought something else. Made a noise for changing it. Food was ordinary. Prices costly. Stay away!

On his trip to India, one of my friends from New Zealand had food at ZEN. He was halfway down his meal, when he went to the restroom, became unconscious and dropped to the floor. He had severe food poisoning and always tells me he can never forget his trip to ZEN!

The one opposite the 1st floor Big Chill(A horrendously expensive place which serves lousy food) is called Salims. Very good chicken afghani
For Khan chacha you have to go to the other end of Khan market. Its in the lane behind the Subway.

Same here. Have been to Zen couple of times. Found nothing wrong with the food and the service. (the place is expensive though!)

And I thought Wikipedia is a reliable source.
