I have some mixed feelings about this new release. There is a certain disconnect in the storyflow what with multiple unnecessary flashback's. each of the 5 episodes feel very stretched. in fact I had to forward many bits to get to the main story.
All in all -> mixed feelings. Will wait for Vol 2 which is expected in Dec.
Completely agree. Infact I felt the story has not progressed at all in this part and they have just unnecessarily dragged it. Its too chaotic and the flashbacks are long and boring.

The kind of excitement Season 1 and 2 had is definitely gone missing last few seasons.

Watched on the recommendation. Nice locales and good BGM.

Clickbait. This was a good find. Plot twists are great, and the pace takes you on a roller-coaster ride. Basically a man goes missing, and he emerges online with a board that says 'I abuse women'. The next card says '5 Million Hits, and I die'. Isn't that a great start!

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Money Heist Season 5 - I watched it because I had watched the earlier seasons. The series is just getting sillier. It was a novelty when it originally came out but somehow, I feel no sympathy/connection whatsoever for the main characters anymore. The fact that they are robbers and spewing one-liners about 'life is unfair when your loved one gets shot while robbing a bank' made me go lol. What else do you expect? An award ceremony?

Adding on the previous posts that this volume doesn't add anything to the story yet. Wait(or don't)for volume 2 which comes out later.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Totally agree with the recent comments about Money Heist - Season 5. This season has been just about fireworks and action sequences reminiscent of a Van Damme movie than a series which was more about the brainy side of reacting to situations. I suppose it got to a point where we were just waiting for them to get on with it. Dragging it out to a Volume 2 only goes to show the producers are just trying to cash in on the hype and feel from the previous seasons.

Skip it, if you have better things to do.

Quite an interesting one, with an awesome background score. And Alexandra Daddario can actually act!

On the contrary Nine Perfect Strangers was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe my expectations were high seeing big names like David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman. Still watchable but not as entertaining as The Undoing or Big Little Lies.

I started watching Nine Perfect Strangers and then looked it up online if I was the only one wondering about what's going on. That's when I read about people comparing how The White Lotus is SO much better.

What's with Nicole Kidman's accent and hairstyle though.

Agree about Nine Perfect Strangers. I had high hopes too, seeing the cast and the locales in the promos. Not to forget, seeing the ads splashed on billboards around here. Not too impressed with the storyline. Also, with just an episode being released per week, i put it aside for the moment.

I signed up for a different streaming service called Binge, just to watch Mare of Easttown. Nicely done, loved it. Everything from the small town setup, to the characters.

I picked this up after watching the first couple of episodes years ago. I ran out of legends, so needed something more, and boy does this pick up. Just wiped off season 3,which was a blast in itself. Season 4, 2 episodes in, and one of my all time favourite marvel characters is the mainstay!
And Skye/Daisy/quake.... Just wow!

Started watching Lupin last night. Pretty hooked to it!

Completed watching Shtisel a few weeks ago and I'd highly recommend it.

6/8 episodes are out already; the remaining two will be out before you actually get to them. You'll need a lot of effort to get through the six episodes.

Sadly, the plot slowly started getting loose after a few episodes and I can't say that I'm still hooked. Sigh.

There is this show called EVIL, it is a supernatural drama that tries to present supernatural as a manifestation of the psyche. Very well made.

Netflix India: Clickbait

It’s a 8 part series (approximately 45 minutes per part) which is different from the norm and will keep you guessing till the end. A must watch for people who love murder mysteries.

Rating: 5 stars.

Cheers
