There are plenty of places in and around MG Road.

Try Queens on Church Street. This is located at the back entrance of Shringar Shopping Center. I like the food here and it is reasonably priced too.

Went to new "KUMARAKOM" Kerala restaurant couple of weeks back for lunch

Location: HSR layout
website: :: K U M A R A K O M - the real taste of K E R A L A ::

We ordered 2 Kerala meals, 2 Karimeen Pollichathu and 1 Payasam :-)
Lunch for two costed ~ 1200/-.

Ambience - 7/10
Price - 6/10
Service - 8/10
Taste - 7/10

Had been to Shiro @ UB City on Sunday. It was my Mum's birthday and Shiro is her favourite place.

And why it happens to be her favourite place was proved yet again!

Rs. 1500/- per head on Sundays, excluding taxes, for unlimited food and unlimited alcohol (cocktails, shooters, whatnot) might seem steep, until you actually try it out for yourself. Everything was brilliant!

We tried the Master-Chef dishes that were on offer on that day and they were amazing! The food never stopped and the *ahem*, well, was good! :D

My report card:

Food: 9/10

Poison: 10/10

Ambiance: 10/10

Service: 10/10

Cost: 7/10

VFM?: 9/10

My favorite place around MG Road is Hard Rock. Slightly pricey but nice food especially if you are a big meat eater and it has a good bar with a nice drinks menu.

Has anyone been to this restaurant "Estia" at Hotel Aloft, Whitefield?? Seems to be a new setup specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. Needed to check if someone has been here and if so, how is the ambience, food quality and service quality?

Need a little help, foodies!
Buffet/dinner (preferably Tandoori/Chettinad and both veg & nv) for my team of ~20 at Koramangala (all the way till EC) and the budget might be anything below 500/-

Some more options:

1. Sultan's of Spice (amazing Afghani/Punjabi food)
2. Taste of Rampur (OK type)
3. Barbecue Nation (heavenly)

Agree.
HRC was my #1 Fav, Untill I visited SKYYE BAR @ UBCITY.
Super cool ambience @ Nice crowd, good view too. Slightly pricey though.

Guys need a quick piece of info.

Organizing a party for office team, about 40-50 people. Thinking of place on the lines of Hint @ Residency road. About 1300 per head cost. Drinks and food inclusive.

Any inputs?

You have good taste friend ! Even I love frequenting sky bar, but Sat nights are way too crowded.

On another note, if you are a meat lover please oh please head to Plan B !! they have the best burgers !!, Animal Burger is the best, greasy, meaty and tasty but their adaption of juicy lucy ain't bad either.

You will not regret it.

"Sherkhan hotel", near Agara-HSR layout, is a restaurant speacilaizing in Tandoori, Moghulai and Chinese cuisine. I found this to be best "take away or home delivery" option in HSR Layout/Sarjapur Road areas. They also have a seating place for 30-40 patrons. I would rate this place very high on hygeine, taste and reasonable pricing.

Recommended items: all Kebabs, all chinese items and chichen biryani
Price: Rs. 90-120 per plate for non-veg items and Rs. 60-80 for veg items.

Havent been to Estia but I had gone to Aloft for a afternoon buffet. The seafood was amazing and the variety of dishes was huge. It was a very good experience. Since it is the same hotel, I expect the food to be as good at Estia as well.

Well if you like burgers, I have still to find someone beating Ice and Spice or Indiana's...and that too after a couple of decades. I had been to Plan B a few days back and I liked their started more than their burgers. The burgers were good, but a bit dry for my taste.

Thanks buddy.
Yep, not just saturday nights, but even on fri/sunday nights it's full.
They have a dress code too.(Sandals not allowed).

I have always thought of having Animal Burger since quite long, but didn't have a chance to go to that place.
I'm sure i'm gonna try PLAN B very shortly.

Had been to GUSTOES at Banshankari, opp KIMS.
Ambience is good, but dishes(particularly Burgers) are quite average. Spanish omlette was good. VFM restaurent.

If you get bored of that, try Beijing Bites in Vijayanagar. Not very far.

Or, Kim Lee Rajajinagar 5th Block, near Bashyam Circle, I would not rate it as the best chinese ever but, definitely not bad.
