Best Benagali restaurant in Indiranagar is undoubtedly "6 Bulleygunge Place".

According to me best place for Rolls in bangalore (any one passing by this area please try this roll is just too darn good)
If you've been to Fanoos, Appaji's mess will rank #2 on your list.
cheers:

Fanoos was great, some years ago. Now the best are probably Shahi's, in Indiranagar RTO, that guy behind Baldwin Boys', and this place on Mosque Road.

Just got this in an e-mail forward today. I don't know the guy.

Quote:
How many of us eat at Nadhini restaurants? Many? And how many of us know it and trust it? Many of us, I think. So I think the email I got from one of my friend, is going to be something of a shocker.

"I found this in his home delivered chicken biriyani yesterday. I held it in my hand, and almost put it in my mouth cos it was well cooked and resembled a chicken piece :-) and then I just yelled my guts out ! Biriyani from Nandhini Palace / Nandhini Palace (domlur branch), Bangalore. Sorry if you're grossed out, but had to let you know."

What is even more disgusting perhaps is that as an apology, the Nandhini guys sent over a basket of fruit and a 2009 diary. My friend wants to press charges and take this to the newspapers but the restaurant guys are begging and pleading with him not to. What's more there is the fear that these are powerful guys who can hurt him or maybe even kill him if he tarnishes their reputation.

The Health Ministry will not act so as citizens, we must at least raise awareness and not let this be hushed up. Please forward this email to whomever you can to let them know. Please be careful when eating out and if the picture isn't enough to dissuade you from eating at Nandhini, I don't know what will.

their is a mosque near fanoos. take the lane next to the mosque (will be the lane parallel to fanoos lane) and then the first left. a couple of metres ahead on the right hand side there used to be a small shop called Sidiqqi (not the famous one) with used to make phal and bombay rolls. Deadly food. But mainly for hard core beef lovers.

Used to go there lots when i was studying in banglore.

They have good boti kababs. My sister-in-law used to get the kababs with 'nool-appams'. Kinda dry combo, but the kababs by themselves are good!

Baldwin's -- If you approach Baldwin Boys' from Hosur/K'mangala, take the left turn immediately after the school. Go straight down to the end of the road and make a left. A few yards ahead, you will find the place on the right side.

Mosque Road -- if you are coming from Ulsoor towards Frazer town, take the left at the mosque. Immediately on the left side is a medical store. This place is right next to it.

Both are hard-core non-vegetarian places. The Mosque Rd place has only 1 veg item on it's full menu board, and I think the Richmond Town one doesn't serve anything except beef.

@vid and Nandini -- UGH! I have always hated that place!

Vid, gross as much as it is (YUCH!), that is not a chicken biriyani from Nandhini! Nandhini's biriyani is done in bulk, and is greenish white - not reddish as in the pic. If the lizard were to be present during cooking, it wouldn't be in that state. This is more likely a fried rice, and that's how it would have got the glaze.

Never liked Nandhini anyhow beyond my BILs' favorite 'System Reboot' Chicken (Chilly Chicken) - a guaranteed cure for myriad viral infections and miscellaneous aches.

somebody took the trouble of putting together a list of restaurants in Bangalore, neatly classified and with contact information. Have a look!
