Tried In China on Museum Road last week.
Very good chinese food and darn good service too. My nieces wanted noodle soup which they didnt have on the menu. But that didnt stop them from preparing it anyways!
Its as good (if not better) as Mainland China used to be in its prime.

4K for 6 Drinks and 3 starters sounds like 5* rates. Which drink was consumed?

200 for a standard measure (30 ml) of Bacardi Limon. That's 2400 just for the drinks. You bet it is expensive.

My mistake - I omitted a sweet dish and a fresh lime soda. Even then, the rates are pretty high and you don't get a quiet atmosphere.

Had been to "THE MINE" at Hotel Solitaire - Kumara park. It's a lounge bar, nothing much to boast off, It's just another OK type of pub. Rates were slightly expensive.

I second that. IMO, it is better than Mainland China. I have been there a couple of times (on weaknights) and found the place quite empty. I wonder why ?

Maybe because the place isn't that great.

Go Saturday nights, especially when there's something going on. It is MAD.

Has anybody been to 'Fiorano Ristorante' in Kormangala? I have passed by many times (stood next to it for hours, in the seemingly endless red lights of the Sony World crossing!). What are the reviews of this place?

The food is OK but expensive. Not worth the money they ask for. 100Ft and Little Italy in Indiranagar are better IMO.

Little Italy on 100 feet Road, Indiranagar is fabulous. Vegetarian only and they serve drinks - a rare combination but I just love this place.

Hey team, which is the best hotel in Bangalore for having candle light dinner? Price no issue, but the hospitality should be really great. When I was checking for the best place heard about Leela’s, I have never been to dinner over there but have had a breakfast; I love the pool side area. If you know any other place please let me know.

Oberoi, West End (Blue Ginger, Pool-side), Grand Ashok poolside, Ebony (ask for an inside table; everyone wants to sit outside), Sunny's (you just need to tell them), Leela's (if you ask them for a private room), Harbor Market on Crescent Road, Harima on Residency Road (if you like Japanese food), Tiger Bay (inside Bangalore Club, Lavelle Road side, but you need an intro from a member).

I suppose by hospitality you meant discrete but efficient service, not interruptions every 5 minutes, and an ambiance conducive to a quiet conversation. This would mean overruling most places where 'pleasing a customer' means smothering them with service, and loud music in the vicinity if not right near you.
