I kind of guessed it.

Also there is a pongal above torque on jeevan bheema nagar road, 80ft road juntion. Though it is also very authentic tamil, but service is not some thing to talk about. Also its pretty congested and crowded.

Had gone to Mainland China for lunch today.

Bloody buggers have jacked up the rates to 395+ taxes for the buffet. And it's not like the buffet has more spread or variety.

Honestly, I dont think it's worth it. Oriental Spice at 250 or so is much better.

The service was also a bit of a letdown at Mainland China today. They took ages to bring the starters to the table.

I think next week we should try Solitaire. Can someone give more details ?

Even at Delhi Mainland china is known for lousy food and service where you go to eat only if you want to boast to people that you paid a lot of money for little food

You can also check out the place near empire at kormanagla dont know the name though, they server some good dosa, idli's and idiappams. Btw i found the food at Anjappar pretty good, but then IMO its pricey considering the quantity they serve. Its whole lot more expensive than the anjappar and arssapar in chennai. The nethili fry and nandu soup taste pretty gud.

3quarter chinese serves north indian buffet during lunch. IMO, "Aromas of China" at Richmond Circle is the best place for lunch (ask for their lunch special menu).

Any place near Koramangala for a typical "parotta and beef", Kerala style?

China Garden in GK-II M-Block market is a good place for Chinese food. It's pricey though.

Am surprised how Fanoos figures so less on this thread. Fellow member GSHA and I used to be regulars at Fanoos.

Same here,but until 2002.
Everytime I visit B'lore,I make it a point to go there & have those yummy rolls to my heart's content (or stomach's content,if I may say so).

OT: Not sure how many BHPians (on Orkut) are part of the Fanoos community.

Prices for all the non veg kebabs and rolls have gone up at at Fanoos by nearly 5-7 rupees per roll. It's more than empire/Imperial now as per my non-veg friend.

Went to Empire today and had the grilled chicken (obviously ). Had a chicken shawarma also. The shawarma sucked. Kabab Magic's shawarma is way better.
