Strangers is based on a true story. I read somewhere they didn't alter the true story for the movie hence the feeling.

The movie is definitely a very good piece of work! The difficulty and the helplessness displayed by the character is very sorry situation to be in real life! Imagine being stuck with no idea what the next day holds and to top that, no money (hence no food)!

Now getting to Tom Hanks, his other movie (from a vast number of movies of his) which I found very interesting is CastAway! Loved the football character too!

Once upon a time in America

This is the 3rd time I'm watching this movie

It's a story of the lives of 4 jewish gangsters set in the early 1900. Robert De Niro, Ed Wood, and a young Jennifer O'Connell are prominent stars in the movie.

Those who like Sergio Leone's movies, this is a must watch. It is typical gangster movie with all the masala of love, hate, betrayel and revenge. It's longish for an english movie and very slow. As I said, a typical Sergio movie.

Outstanding music score, fantastic and colourful characters and an absolutely ravishing Jennifer make this movie one of my favourites.

Rating - 4/5

Caught up on "The Odessa File" starring Jon Voight. Based on Fredrick Forsythe novel, it was quite good and Jon Voight acted well in this Nazi thriller.

However, i found the book much better.

3.5/5

Has anyone watched the following? :
1) Without limits (1998). (True story/biography of Steve Roland "Pre" Prefontaine)
Story of an american long distance runner. It has a very nice anticlimax. Want your heart to sink deep. Go watch it, you'll be like "what a waste of talent". Also
how the company 'Nike' came to existance.
Super old movie but worth a watch.

2) The Bachelor. (2002)
Very romantic and funny.
Starring : Renee Zellweger and Chris O'Donnell (Batman's sidekick, Robin)
I simply loved, I mean loved, the way he proposes to his girl in the end. Million Dollar proposal. One can memorize the lines and try it on his/her crush. Will never fail.
