Yup. I got it for 1.7L after negotiating. But I did very little negotiating as I was too smitten by it. I think another 5K is possible.

Nice one Viddy - it’s a lovely piece indeed and Longines does make some fabulous watches. Fully agree with WhiskeyTango too on that specific model. Longines are extremely under-rated and in recent times, I have really liked two particular models from the brand. The Spirit Zulu Time (in 39 mm) with the green bezel and with the metal strap (although the tan brown looks beautiful on it as well). The other is the Longines Record which is seemingly a less popular model maybe but looks lovely.

The Zulu Time is a proper competitor to the Tudor Blackbay 58 IMO and if I ever had to pull the trigger on one of them, I’d have quite the time picking one over the other.

All three of these punch well above their weight I feel.

That Seiko sports is a very cool looking watch. And I like that vintage Casio too.

Re: Which watch do you own?

Hi guys..
Does anybody own the new Suunto Ocean watch?

Is it possible to buy it online in India without paying customs duties?

Thank you.

Re: Which watch do you own?

Wanted a nice daily to go along with the Longines that I got a few months back. Ended up getting this Seiko Speedmaster 39mm SSC813P1:

Oris makes some truly fantastic watches. The big crown model is so good it has "inspired" some manufacturers to make their own versions

This is truly a special watch. Shri Tata was a gem of a person, and we are unlikely to see another one like him for a very long time indeed. A very elegant watch by the way !

Nice watch, though I liked the Orient RA-TX0203S design a little more (it has better lume than the Seiko too - a rare feat).

Re: Which watch do you own?

I own a Fossil Sport and it has metal strap. Wanted to ask a basic question - can we change the strap to any material we like, for example, I am more inclined towards leather straps now, so can i just change the strap to leather?

I did like this Orient as well the newer Seiko Panda SSC911 which has better lume. Only problem was the Prient is 43mm with a lug to lug of 48mm which is too large for my wrist. Even the 41mm Seiko SSC911 felt large on the wrist vs this SSC813P1 that Picked up. The 39mm was just perfect for me.

Re: Which watch do you own?

Been a while since I've posted something on Team BHP and what better way than to share about my 2 new watches!

1) Rado True Square Open Heart

I had been eyeing this for a while and it really had been tugging at my heartstrings. Got a great deal at a Rivoli store and bought it right away. True to Rado's USP (Master of Materials), it's a great looking & feeling watch - very different from all the other watches I own and really catches your eye.

Which watch do you own?-38f02905aaa54d829c8f39380b23443d.jpg

It's really a thing of beauty and pictures really don't do justice to how great it looks. The movement (visible through the open heart), the dial, the bracelet all scream quality!

2) Seiko Metronome watch

If I'm being honest, this new watch has me more excited than the Rado (and it costs less than 1/10th it's price )
I would recommend watching this video to understand all it's features

Basically it is a musician's best friend - it has a built in metronome & a tuner - it is one of the coolest watches I have ever seen. It's also exclusively sold only in Japan, so when a colleague was traveling over from there I had to ask them to bring it for me! Got it in this beautiful dark blue but will most likely change the strap soon

Orient in India is ridiculously expensive. I got my Orient Bambino imported via Amazon.jp.

Cost involved was way less than what they were selling for here in India.

Difficult to get them here for lower price. I get from USA.

The Seiko Speedtimer I got from HSR Helios store. The Just in time and Helios store is great in HSR layout. The Helios guys and Just in Time guys both offered to order the Seiko for me as it was sold out everywhere. HElios gave a lower price.

Pretty cool. Although I very much doubt that musicians will buy use it.

It’s like saying the Breitling Navitimer with its rotating bezel slide rule is a pilots best friend. Few Navitimer owners are pilots (although some like to pretend they are) and pilots who own one (e.g. me) would never ever use it in the cockpit.

But they are still cool watches of course!
