What I meant was not to give access as guest. If they want to get the result any way they also can become a member in the forum and then get the result. Might be being a member may make them more involved rather than getting everything for free

That is contrary to our position, where we want everyone to benefit from the knowledge base of our community. It is also precisely the reason that no one needs to register to access any part of the board.

Team-BHP will always be open for all.

I don't think that is necessarily true. For any survey to be considered useful for companies, the mode of sampling is very important. I'll be hard pressed to define the sampling that happens in Team-BHP polls.

why not we start the habit putting the "keywords used : " while putting a search result for someone in the posts. It will help guide in people how to use proper keywords for searching.

Not entirely sure what you are trying to express here navdeep. Is there a feild where keywords can be entered? Could you please re-explain what you mean.

Can the "Location" header in the Members List be made sortable?

I think you can track from which IP address someone posts/views the board. Can you publish a statistics from which part of the world members mostly access this site?

Basically the study would be only useful in determining how many use what ISP.

But I guess, GTO had that google analytics plugged in a while back... that would have helped such stats... ... but nevertheless its all India!

why not have a reputation system where a member can add to the rep of another member if he feels tht post is noteworthy of it

Sadly not as a stock option...
However, you can go to the members list and then advanced search by location... but that is a bit wishy washy due to things like "mumbai vs bombay" etc....

We had considered this, as it is possible in the latest version of Vbulletien which we are running, however, we have decided against it for the timebeing ... as a lot of issues arise... Maybe we will reconsider it in the future.

Why can't we change the pics that we see initially when we log on.It had been around for a while and would be a fresh change once we get new pics.
