Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Hi mods. I'm wondering why there is no windows phone app for team bhp. I agree its market share is less, but still i think it will be worth it as its only increasing with the day and the imminent win 10 for phone launch. Hope to see an app for WP sooner. Thanks.

Check Rehaan's post on this thread about a TBHP app for Windows Phone:

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Can we add the Thanks button to the Shifting Gears forum with the Thanks given not getting added to the overall thanked count. Like currently, the posts does not get added to the post count? So I guess it is a feasible thing to do.

Or maybe the button renamed as 'Like'?

Today there is no good way to acknowledge something in this section apart from quoting and replying. Some of the threads in this section contain really useful information and posts.

Would also help in this thread as the mods would get a good idea on how many people are supporting a new functionality and thus helps prioritize.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

The Search function is a bit limiting. This I guess is a limitation of the forum software itself, but I would like to ask the admins to see if they can do something about it.

For example, when I search for a string that includes the word "to" (Bangalore to Delhi for example), I get the error shown in the screenshot.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

The Thanks feature is good but it doesn't follow chronological order, rather the latest posted post that has been thanked appears first and not the latest THANKED post. Can it be possible to get even earlier posts thanked recently up the order?

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

GLITCH REPORT

I am using team-bhp on explorer as well as google chrome on a laptop. For the last couple of days I think (certainly today), it often only half opens the page (no scroll bar appears on the page).

On refreshing repeatedly it sometimes opens the full page but its unpredictable. This is happening across various parts of the site including "new topics" "new posts", within threads etc.

I was trying to work on a new thread in assembly line and basically simply couldn't proceed because of this issue. I'm reasonably sure the issue is not with my internet connection because I'm not facing the problem with any other website.

Please do look into this and whether anyone else is also facing the same problem.

Attached below is an example of how the window only half opens without any scroll bar on the right.

Thanks,

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Experiencing the page load problem (similar to that mentioned in previous post by @Axe77) since yesterday.
Most pages on the TBHP site are not loading fully, though browser (Chrome) behaves like page has loaded (and no scroll bar) and usually takes 3 to 4 repeated page refreshes to actually display the page fully (with scroll bar). Even happens on the "New Reply" page where the text box shows up but the action buttons do not render and page does not scroll down to show them.

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

I've been experiencing the same problem as described in the two posts above. Tried with both Google Chrome and Safari, don't see a scroll bar and can't scroll down the page until I refresh the page a couple of times.

Ok. I'm at least relieved to know this is not just my computer or net connection. And more people facing it as well. :-)

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

ok, so i'm not the only one facing this problem

friends, Romans, countrymen.. lend me your ears (don't remove and throw it at me)! i come to offer a solution, not to rant about the problem.

jokes apart, i was browsing on Opera when i first noticed this issue. refreshing the page also didn't work. installed Firefox, and that too had problems intermittently (you can still scroll using the arrow keys). finally rebooted the system and ta da!

Re: Suggestions for Team-BHP from Team-BHPians

Can we have a stickied request thread for the DIY forum? I think it would be a great idea for people to make requests and other people to come forward and make threads based on these requests by gauging interest level or atleast link people if a similar diy guide is already available.

Price updates (with datestamp) on official reviews

Our Official Reviews are no doubt the best 'first stop' while checking out any car.
More often than not, I would start reading from page 1, for a car, which I haven't checked out earlier (in detail).
Page 1 often shows the launch price (only).
Sure, the price discussions follow, but are mostly lost in the sea of posts.

Could we please update the pricing with date-stamp in the first post of the official review?
This could not have the short term discounts, marginal price hikes, trivial details, but major price updates, at least.

That would help us a good deal -
for e.g. Ecosport price summary with time-stamps.

Launch price
Rs. 5.59 - 8.99 lakhs (ex-Delhi) (May 2013)

Price change
Rs. 5.82 - 9.37 lakhs (ex-Delhi). (Sept 2013)

Price change
Rs. 6.19 - 9.74 lakhs (ex-Delhi). (Jan 2014)

Facelift price
Rs. 6.79 - 10.4 lakhs (ex-Delhi). (Oct 2015)

Thanks,

Ace.
