As obvious as it can be, new theme is FESTIVAL.

Few points: We don't wish to see only fireworks pictures. Frankly it's a no-brainer.
Try to capture the spirit. Just look around and you'll see lot of things happen around this time of the year.

Happy shooting.

In that case, let me post a difficult firework shot.

See in full size.

I just posted these in the non-auto image thread. So hot linking the pics here.

All taken using BULB mode, half an hour back. Apertures were in the range of f/8 to f/15. ISO 100.

It's only fireworks and no spirit of the festival. :(

Happy Diwali to all!

Happy Diwali to all you guys!!!

Here is one pic from my side depicting the light and the glow that the festival tends to spread all around. In Jaipur there is a compition amongst the malls and the shopping centers for the best lit place.

A 2 frame panorama of one of the malls. I know I cut the top of the malls. It was a mistake. Any other suggestions are most welcome

Trying out a few pics with the new car, and here's a result, though not too good - I liked the comment of "wheels on fire" that a neighbour made about it.

Guys, go for smaller aperture to get sharper light trails. Sample shot at f25.

Awesome shot rudraji! You could have cropped the image a little at the bottom part though.

Hey, it's already more than 50% cropped and just to tell all of you to go for smaller aperture.

I didn't get anything good last evening.
Expect some good capture from Jaggu.
