Hayden dropped again by Dravid, again off Bhajji.

This is ridiculous. It's obvious Dravid is down on confidence and this is showing in his fielding as well. He dropped a sitter in the first innings, and now this. You don't give three chances to a player of Hayden's caliber.

Edit: Now the fielding has hone completely haywire, with overthrows being conceded and plenty of mis-fieldings. And Aussies are scoring at 5 runs an over (100 in 20 vers). And to top it all, out over-rate is pathetic.

Don't count Australia out yet. They as well as the Indian team is fighting to keep the series alive.

If India keeps dropping catches like this and help Aussies with their scoring rate with wickets intact, we provide an outside chance for aussies.

Slow bowling rate too will pinch us

Dhoni wont let this one go. He has his credentials at stake. Expect a different side after the lunch break.

Australia need another 271 runs in 69 overs. Our over-rate is pathetic, we have managed to bowl only 21 overs in the first session, so Dhoni won't be able to bowl Sharma and Zaheer much in the remaining two sessions.

After two dropped catches off his bowling, Bhajji has gone into a shell and is bowling flatter. I doubt he'll be much of threat. The game is not over guys!!!

Hayden going after the bowling. Playing on 73 off 91 balls. Australia 150/3 in 28 overs and need 232 runs in 64 overs. Entirely gettable.

Seriously. You guys seem to have more faith in Australia's ability.

EDIT: 6 down. I guess many here still expect the Aussie tailenders to be winning this.

Hope the Indian spinners strike a couple of more times.
Apparently some catches were dropped - uh oh!
They had no other option!!! India will be happy if they draw and more than happy if they win. We were just playing safe. Aussie pressed the Panic button and now 6 down. Aussie can say a good bye to the trophy.

INDIA WON THE MATCH BY 173 RUNS AND LAID THEIR HANDS ON BG trophy

"The tv comms are saying Dhoni has let GAnguly captain since the last two overs. I can't confirm that. To give him a farewell gift." From Cricinfo.

Signing out as a CAPTAIN

I have never felt sad seeing any cricketer retire, but seeing Ganguly at the end of the match brought a huge lump to the throat. He was a true champ, a fighter to the core and one that always put the team before himself - it isnt often that you see captains of that calibre, certainly not in India.

Thank you for those glorious years, Dada. You will be missed.

Yeah, the one great thing about Dada was he let the world know we weren't a team to take things lying down. I liked the In your face attitude that he got into. Needling Steve Waugh, Flintoff, Ponting.. Gave Aussies a taste of their own medicine...

The one thing I'll miss is his towering sixes..
