It was a nice feeling to win big in Australia. This time I couldn't watch, but I still remember watching the Benson & Hedges championship victory (1985), and the victory lap in Ravi Shastri's Audi around the field.

Now, let's brace ourselves. Undoubtedly, there will be a very obscenely huge welcoming/congratulatory ceremony to the champions, like they cured cancer or AIDS.

Possibly a 5 Test match or 10 ODI match ban.
That would be very unfair. He did the right thing by stopping the nut case in that manner. What else was he supposed to do when a naked man is charging at him, run from him? How will that appear on international TV...

Tax payers? Why will a private company like BCCI have access to tax payer money? They are paying it out of their huge cash reserve, they are one of the richest sports company in the world.

Running away would definitely appear better than running towards the streaker, which is what symmonds ultimately did. Hell, he actually went a step ahead and touched the man.

and that makes me think why is he "going after" bhajji.....maybe bhajji turned him down...

Symonds Charged the Streaker, the Streaker didn't charge at Symonds....
Agree with LLL on that point.

I don't bout the Bhajji thingy though...

I believe Matthew Hayden, after his famour radio interview where he wanted to meet Ishant in a ring, has been educated by a member of the Indian Team Management that Ishaant is a black belt Kareteka and that perhaps he should reconsider his intent.

wow..then why did we let go of the opportunity...should have told hayden via press that ishant would be waiting for him @ such place @ such time for a freestyle game.

would have loved to see hayden getting beaten up in the ring as well...

I was surprised to see the video of Symmo hitting the streaker,on CNN! It was on a bunch of other sites too,and some of the comments were really funny.
Of course,80% of them doubted Symmo's 'interests'. Pretty obvious stuff,so I'll refrain from mentioning anything else.

Now Bishan Singh Bedi comes up with this. He really likes making such comments

"Their [India juniors'] on-field behaviour was deplorable. Don't confuse this kind of behaviour with aggression; it was absolutely terrible and atrocious ... And a few of the players did not look under 19 years of age; faces of under-19 boys look different."

I like to take Mr. Bedi's comments with a pinch of salt!
