| ![]() Bhpians on Rohit - He is a NoHit, he is Mr.Talent. He should not be in the test team. Bhpians on Pandya - He is a bits and pieces cricketer, neither a batsman nor a bowler, he is not a Stokes. He should not be in the test team. Bhpians on seeing KL Rahul - Bring back Rohit. Bring back Pandya. ![]() |

| ![]() India 228/4 now, Rahane gone. Hope Pujara gets his century soon, he's on 94. KL Rahul - his batting clearly seems undone by the shorter format game, he scored 9 off 6 balls with 2 boundaries and Strike Rate of 150! |

| ![]() Not taking anything away from team India's performance. But, this series feels like a farce somewhere deep within, because the Oz side is so heavily depleted. I just hate Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli's chest thumping given the circumstances of the series. The wins just don't feel as sweet as they should, in other words. |

| ![]() I'm not a Kohli or Shastri fan either, but what can the team do even if this is really the 'weakest Australian side ever'? You can only play the team the opposition fields. And it's not like they lost Smith and Warner to a (un)lucky injury or two, they were sidelined because of wilful cheating. As someone else has pointed out, most teams these days aren't winning away from home. So IMHO, this series is a truly historic victory for us (too early, but I think we'll wrap this one up). Kohli, as I've said before, backs up his aggression with performance. It's not like the Aussies and Brits are saints on the field. It's about time they got it back the way they dish it out and Kohli is the man for that. More power to him as long as he directs his aggression in the field and not at anyone and everyone. (Again, I say this as a non-fan). Shastri is pointless as a coach. He (and Rohit Sharma from the Test team) should certainly go. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() He got it! in a series that has seen only 4 centuries, 3 of them have come from Pujara. Just amazing! His total runs this series have crossed 430 already at a strike rate close to 40. He was once told that his strike rate is too less but he has answered it in the perfect way possible. The next best batsmen in the series is Kohli with around 280 runs at around 41 strike rate! He is my Man of the series. The the 3 talented Rs - Rahul Rohit and Rahane have once again not performed to their potential this series ![]() |

| ![]() We've heard that before. Me thinks KL knows some dark secrets of Shastri/Kohli, thats the reason he's been given so many chances! ![]() Will be surprised if Pujara isn't awarded the Man of the Series. He has been the difference between the 2 teams. We just somehow have to get to 400+ score tomorrow so that we are in a position not to lose. Thankfully for India Starc hasn't been his lethal best in this series. Looking forward to see how Kuldeep bowls in this test. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() True. Historically this has been a strong batting track with the team batting first putting up a decent score; and with Australia even doing well many times batting second. Every Indian batsman (except our enigma) has been able to start well; so my guess is even the Australian team will be able to put a decent score. It's all upto how well the two pacers and spinners work their magic. |

| ![]() Three hundreds in a series batting at number 3 is an achievement anywhere in the world, and esp. down under. Unfathomable now to think the chap wasn't a regular starter for a while, but he's worked hard on his game and is now probably the first name on the teamsheet every test. ![]() |

Interesting how the Australian bowlers lost all their swing between the Ashes and this series. I am also looking forward to see how the Aussie batsmen handle Kuldeep. It would be awesome for test cricket to get one more good bowler. Quote:
