So a great team (as India has been very successful in his time as leader of the team) without a great leader!! That does not sound right isint it?

Any other examples you can provide of such a team?

Re: The Cricket Thread

I really think India should atleast try for a win now even if it means risking the draw somewhat. 7 wickets in hand and 100 odd runs to get it not a tall ask. 20 odd overs still to go in the day.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Australia is in catch 22 situation now, if they bowl on wickets they can go for runs if they bowl wide of off stump, players can keep leaving.

Whoever isn't watching it right now is missing the game of the year.

Till Pant is there I am gonna hope for the win.

Going for a win also means taking chances and possibly losing the game in the process!

Just need to play each ball on merit and use the bad ones to score runs off of.

10 odd overs left to bat out while Australia needs 5 wickets, rivetting game this.

Edit: Pant just attempted a reverse sweep but missed connecting the ball

Edit 2: 9 overs to go, 53 runs for an Indian win and 5 wickets for an Australian victory. I'm hoping India will draw this one

Edit 3: Sundar started what seems to now be a chase for a win, 24 needed in 6 overs, what a great test match.

Me neither. Even on cricinfo, I am checking sporadically. Don't want my jinxing skills to put a dent in what could be a match winning knock from Pant.

Where's a fingers crossed emoticon when you need one!

Re: The Cricket Thread

Cummins has bowled almost 165 overs in this series, which is almost two day worth of bowling, in a 20 day series, so almost 10% of the time he was bowling, what fitness.*

Re: The Cricket Thread

We'll see you at Gabba

We came, we saw, we conquered! What an amazing match this is. Breaking a 32 year old no-loss streak. all the 2018 talks of "you beat a side without smith and warner" finally put to rest. With those guys back, we not only beat them, we beat them with our second rung side. It was enough!

Amazing team effort this, against all odds, against all the expert opinion, fighting injuries, going beyond our imaginations. this test series was all about India except for that 1 hour in the first test. It doesn't matter if we win the test championship or not, this is as good as it gets.

2-1 India Tests
2-1 India T20
2-1 Australia ODI

Well played India! This win will mentally disintegrate Australia...something they aim to achieve with their sledging.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Who is your daddy now Aussie, what did they say "See you at Gabba", What did they say "We will be whitewashed", What did they say "This is our fortress", What did they say "Warner and smith were absent so we lost last series"

India A defeats Full strength Australian team, This is the best ever victory, maybe even higher then the two world cup finals. What a proud moment, what a moment to be supporter of this team.

Proud of this team, a feeling never felt before. Thank you Team, What a group of Heroes.
