Apart from this video, there are couple of others as well at https://www.cricket.com.au/video.
If you are bored of listening to the same commentary (from SonyLIV), these videos have commentary from Aussies.

Edit: It has still not sunken in for me. So, i am searching for any new news articles or videos from other websites

Re: The Cricket Thread

The most incredible series win in India's Cricketing History! Never imagined in my wildest dreams that India would even compete, forget about winning! Alongwith the Team, Rahul Dravid & BCCI should be credited for having the 'A' team program for the last many years.

We've beaten England & NZ before. South Africa is the only country where we haven't won a series yet!

Ex. English skipper Kevin Pietersen has issued friendly warning in native hindi to Indian Cricket Team for upcoming tour of English cricket team on India soil.

The mood and excitement in cricket enthusiasts with this historic series win, is reignited after initial embarrassing defeat. Therefore, next series with England would be really exciting to watch for.

Re: The Cricket Thread

The best part of the historic win is the return of enthusiasm to the tests. Even the die hard T20 lovers were rejoicing in series win. We can build on this.

Pandya shouldn't be played in England home series. As per selectors comments he is been selected purely as a batsman which means he won't bowl. No point playing him then as Thakur or Sundar can provide dual roles. Rather Pandya should be monitored and readied for our tour to England where we will definitely need his bowling and batting abilities.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Off late I have been listening to many podcasts while driving, so much so that I rarely listen to FM / Other Music.

There are few cricket related podcasts that I am regular listener to. Following are the top 3 cricket podcasts in my opinion:

1. Edges and Sledges

Podcasts by three fans. Their conversations are quite simple yet passionate.

https://ivmpodcasts.com/edges-and-sledges

2. 22 Yarns with Gaurav Kapur

A podcast where Gaurav speaks to guests about various cricketing topics. The opening episode with Harsha about broadcasting and commentary is my favorite.

And recent one with Pommie Mbangwa was the most hilarious. Where he took several digs at Gaurav referring to India's 36-all out debacle and shared a funny story about getting trolled by a peanut seller while batting at Port of Spain.

https://open.spotify.com/show/43mTFxSHXF7Xtvjx4TF0Dc

3. LANSO (Left Arm Not So Orthodox) by Cyrus Brocha

These are short discussions, mostly rants, about cricket. Episodes are not released on regular basis though.

https://ivmpodcasts.com/cyrus-says-e...list/tag/LANSO

All three podcasts are available on popular platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Are there any other interesting podcasts on Cricket? Do share your recommendations !

Cheers.

Btw, very happy to see Starc decimated this time around. It's as if his presence did not matter :-)
Majority said the same for him when he played in the last match, he took 7 wickets. Indian pitches are where he has played all his life, with a lack of genuine all rounder, it makes sense to draft him in and atleast see how it fares in first match. They should play Ishant and Siraj along with him, Bumrah should be given some more time to rest and probably come in from second game.

Agreed. Your post makes sense. Shardul can be treated as an All-Rounder in place of,maybe, Hardik. But it would be very difficult to leave out Bumrah from playing XI (atleast for Kohli and Shastri)

Re: The Cricket Thread

One good thing that has come out after the Australian series is that we can now look at Sundar and Shardul as potential bowling all-rounders in Tests, we now have 2 new options in addition to Hardik and Jadeja

Then either Siraj or Ishant will have to sit out, I think it's imperative that we keep our bowlers fresh (A mistake Australia did, and we did not, though forced). I agree maybe start with Bumrah to get the series going and then take it as the series progress.

This is a long series too, and we just have two weeks of break. We would not want English to win and then be served the same dish we served to Australia. With such a great bench strength, it would be good to use it wisely.

As much as I admire Sundar, I don't think he is ready to play the role of an attacking wicket taking spinner on Indian tracks just yet.

If we recollect, Jadeja too started on similar lines and was only a darter to begin with and years later he became the ICC's number one ranked test bowler. He developed subtle variations, played around with angles and became successful. Accuracy is a big virtue in test cricket and Jadeja thrived on that. Sundar is similar too. He could become a successful test bowler though his batting skills are a touch more than his bowling. With time and experience, he is bound to get better.

Also, It's really heartening to see so many youngsters coming through the ranks and making it big at the highest form of cricket. Let's not forget the selfless Rahul Dravid who played a key role in the success of these youngsters. The A tours he meticulously charted over the last few years is paying rich dividends now. Who would have thought we will beat Aussies at Gabba with this second string team. Hats off to BCCI to place someone at a suitable post who's truly giving it back to the game.

India now have at least 5 openers to choose from, 10 quality bowlers and as many to choose six batting slots. Except Kohli and to an extent Pujara, one has compete for their spots which is a good thing to have.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Absolutely, and that is why I said he not ready yet. Remember Sir Jadeja came through the ranks in Ranji trophy. Sundar does not play domestic red ball cricket enough, so needs to catch up.

Re: The Cricket Thread

So a total of 46 catches was dropped in test series, 24 by Indians and 22 by Aussies.

In context of a series,*that is almost a test match worth of wickets and some more, bowlers showed a lot of heart in this series and marched on.

Mind boggling.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Australia bowled to injure the Indian batsmen in the last two matches. In their eagerness to bowl bouncers and attack batsman's stability, they forgot their line and length most of the times. Hazlewood in particular is a line and length bowler. But he looks to bowl bouncers more often and that made them tired in both Sydney and Brisbane.

In Adelaide, they bowled the perfect line and length around that fourth/fifth stump line and wickets just came their way in both innings. Even in MCG, Rahane was dropped multiple times in cordon with that kind off length. There was no proper support for Cummins apart from Hazlewood. Starc and Lyon were somehow clueless with this Indian batting line up. India getting 20 wickets with all new comers in Gabba is really heartening to see.

After all the drubbings in IPL for Siraj, he bowled his heart out and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Bumrah can be made as a specialist ODI bowler and can be used in tests only for overseas tour to SENA countries.

I would like to know what Sunil Gavaskar has to say now for questioning and criticizing granting Virat's paternity leave and same was not sanctioned for Natarajan. For god's sake, Natarajan is yet to prove his mettle and when the opportunity came his way he grabbed it with both hands in Gabba and responded well in first innings with 3 wickets especially of Marnus Labuschagne.
