Dravid finally has a 50 against his name - even though it came in more than 150 balls, it is okay as he came in when we were 6/1 and steadied the innings.

The Wall is back

Dravid, who earned the sobriquet 'The Wall', by facing the likes of Ambrose & Walsh, McGrath & Warne, Akram & Waqar, Donald & Pollock slams his 54th 50 against a lesser accomplished attack.

Even Sehwag got the 83 and Tendulkar the 100 in the previous match(that was a batting track this isnt.. Sehwag went for duck today he went fishing instead of batting) against the same opposition no? That was also well err..... not so great huh?

PS: To all, i greatly admire Sehwag, the above post is for arguments sake.

Dravid had his own demons to kill more than anything else. He would have struggled the same against a Malaysian under-19 attack. Nobody denies his class - he was just having some loose wiring in his brains lately.

Ultimately, what matters is he scores a century or not...how many b@lls he faced does not matter now. Only the media will make a issue out of this. The problem with him lately was he was not able to hold on to his wicket or stood the ground. Now he has done this...he has to concentrate on scoring now. As always known, he is a slow starter and lets hope he will make good of this...

According to this report, Dravid used squash ball to get out bad form & end his run drought

Quote:
According to his teammates, the veteran is contemplating using a squash ball inside his right batting glove, a cue picked up from former Aussie wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist.

Dravid brought a few squash balls to the nets on Wednesday afternoon but whether he used them during practice wasn't confirmed. "He's trying various things. It could be one of those. He hasn't talked to anybody about it," says a teammate.

Total(1 wicket; 72 overs)179(2.48 runs per over)
Dravid is playing in old test match style, today most of teams score fast in test cricket,I dont blame him as he is running in a bad patch of his form but such slow scoring rate is not acceptable in any case,a personal inning he is playing and of no use to team of India.

Yeah he should have got a hundred off 101 balls and with that run rate he could have got a double century. Wow. He could have played for another 10 years then. Team India should play the T20 team in tests and one dayers too. I am at a loss why they dont. Do you know? Test ho ya T20 run hi to banana hai.. kyu?
