There are people betting money on whether I'll camp outside the HD dealership tomorrow night. I love the Fat boy, the soft tails and every other HD monster. There are those who prefer the R1's, the MT-01's and all the street sbk's. I have no problem with their taste. I, for one, will sell some of my bikes, many gadgets and whatever else I own to get me a Harley. Call me a fanboy, a impractical nut, whatever, but I have Got To Get Me One Of These!

Cheers,

Hey not sure if you guys are but just thought will keep all informed

On the website there is small ticker kind off thing which needs to be scrolled up.

When the ticker is moved up you can hear the exhaust note and the image gets brighter showing the ride.

Sorry if you guys were aware of this but just thought of sharing it with all thinking all might not be aware.

Can anyone sweetly list the bike models expected to launch? (and pictures too?)

Blah, even if I'm not buying one, it's still exciting and absolutely drooling. I am curious to know about XR1200.

Not sure if they will have Buells, its a crazy different bike for sure. Low center of gravity than any street bike out there. Oil in the swingarm, and gas in the frame. The gas tank is actually a storage compartment. Belt drive, with no maintenance. But the overall reliability is questionable. Sit on one and it feels very wierd. Some say very different, I say its crazy.

How about if Harley launches its american production models at lower than US rates.

That would be fun.

As they say: price is the value perceived by the customer, nothing to do with the cost

Even if they launch it at exact US conversion rates, it would be cheap to buy than the official SBKs

If Harley is planning an assembly line by 2011 (which would be the first time a Harley is assembled elsewhere other than the US - I think) then obviously Harley is very serious about the Indian market and they want volumes. So they will attack the price barrier on account of import duties by locally assembling the bikes. I think that's a very sensible move on their part. If that way they can manage to offer the bigger Harleys at around 10-12 lakhs they will see some reasonable volumes in India. As a CBU I reckon the bigger Harleys won't be anything cheaper than 18 lakhs

If Harley manages to sell 1000-1200 bikes a year that would be great business for them. For that they'd need to get their entire lineup priced below the 10-12 lakh range.
