I hope Triumph doesnt detune it for Indian market. The current one on sale here has close to 30 PS deficit compared to the same model in the UK.

The basic Street Triple S is rumored to be launched at INR 10 Lakhs in India which is speculated to be cheaper than Z900. Of course, the R and RS versions would be more expensive.

The S version does not get the Full-colour, 5″ TFT instrument pack with 3x styles and high/low contrast options. It is equipped with LCD instrument pack with analogue tacho similar to the current one.

Cheers,

10L is way too much money for what it offers. Let's wait and watch hope these bikes are launched for sensible money.
I got an email from Triumph India with a tagline 'Brutal Beauty', I assumed it to be for the launch of Street Triple but it seems to for the Bobber.

Any idea what are the accessories offered with the Z900 - is it the Akrapovic, Radiator Guard, Smoked Screen cover, Rear cowl, Tank Pad. If so, this seems like a good deal. Hope they do not void warranty for the Akrapovic.

Also it's seems so strange that they couldn't get a Z900 for th launch and had to rely on a television screen to display the bike.

The Versys with the revised graphics looks good - is this the 2017 Versys with the gear indicator and the power socket?

The Mumbai showroom is expected to be inaugurated on 28th Mar but not sure if the bikes have been imported. If they were, they would have had them for the launch today. Biggest question now - are they gonna offer test rides?

Wonder how Rushlane got access to the bike? Video Link
If you look closely, you can see a charging outlet on the right handlebar.

I've heard the Z900 on Akra's and it sounds amazing. The 9L may be ok only if it ships with the Akra exhaust, screen etc.

But kudos to Kawasaki for launching 4 bikes in one go. Amongst Japanese 4, Kawasaki is the only one to launch bike's regularly and have a widest product portfolio. Well done Team Green!

Accessories include some trivial bits, nothing substantial.

Quote:
The price includes a handful of accessories including a seat cowl, radiator guard, crash protection and a screen plus bits.

Also no Akra.

Overdrive says this too.

Z800 will continue to sell alongside.

Sorry if I missed it - has Kawasaki introduced ABS in its 650 cc lineup (ER-6N and Ninja)?

Yes. Both the 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Z650 (formerly known as ER-6N) get ABS as standard.

Here are some ride impressions of the Kawasaki Z900 . I feel its fairly priced with the bits and accessories. Curb mass has been dropped from 228-230 kgs to 210 kgs and power is up and a slipper clutch included.

Sore point in the bike is that speedo console, looks cheap!
