Well, you live in the land of R1's and Busa's so it should be easy for you to find one. Everyone in Bangalore that I know, has owned both those bikes or wants those bikes or has both the bikes at the same time!

My suggestion to you is to go for a comfortable bike since you ride almost everyday. The R1 will be torture after a 900RR. Alternatively, you can also raise the handlebar of the R1 by getting an after-market handlebar set from Helibars.

Strangely, the canted-forward position works well for my back. I did Bangalore-Chennai non-stop on the Blade and I had not ONE ache or pain or cramp or even stiffness the next day. I get out of my bed with more aches.
BUT I haven't ridden an R1. Nor any other SBK for that matter, so you do raise a valid point of 'suitability'.

Thats exactly what I'm saying, the CBR was more comfortable than the R1 is. When I say raise the handlebar, don't worry, its not going to be like a Bullet or anything. It will be an inch or so, but that makes a big difference.

Some pics from Pune from me.

1. VFR 750 - Easily the best kept example in the country. The bike was being serviced and washed hence some panels are missing. Its a '91 and still has the original paint.

2. CBR 600 Hurricane - My ex bike . Easily one of the best sounding bikes I have heard so I HAD to start it and rev it a bit!

3. Hornet 900 & VFR 800.

4. CBR 400 Hurricane.
