How about a drive meet on 25th to manjeera dam in sangareddy followed by lunch/refreshments at any dhaba while returning.

Hyd folks : sorry for being OT

Any latest update on the dam gates opening in Nagarjuna sagar or Srisailem - Have a couple of friends visiting from out of town & wanted to check if it is worth going for a long drive this weekend.
& howz the road conditions ...I stay at Gachibowli ..I have seen a route from the Airport road to Srisailem -
What about Gachibowli to Nagarjunasagar ....? different route ?

Was planning to do the trip only if the views at either Nagarjuna Sagar or Srisailem is awesome ...ie lotsa gates open & water gushing out etc..

Given the adequate amounts of rains, that have been lashing out for the past coulple of weeks, I believe the gates at Srisailam should be still open. However, cannot assure it, but feel that they should be open.

Better than that, visit the Vikarabad Lake for some fishing and fun. The lake seems to be filled till the brim due to the rains & would be a great quick weekend escapade

+1 on that Ani. Given the medical emergency one of our members is held up with, it would be a wise decision to postpone this to next week.

Btw, I read in newspaper 4-5 days back Nsagar dam gates were also open. But, then it's always the case that there can never be any assurance of gates being open at either places unless you get this info from someone stationed there.

Nagarjunsagar - Went on Sat ( 25th Sept) - None of the gates was open :-(
Was hot as hell as well !!
Anyways enjoyed the Ethipothala waterfalls - early morning there is best - hardly any crowd
Enjoyed the APTDC Boat Ride to Nagarkonda Island as well !
