>>>
parimal_g, pjbiju, vrprabhu, MX6, BolBolero, gostel,

Terrific round of pics. Some of the compositions, driven by your insight/vision, is truly outstanding. The pics of the flower, the peak and the lake and not least the pics of the little ones- one wants to see and feel again and again. Thank you for giving us such pleasure.

Also danke to parimal_g and BolBolero for turning the Jetta into a model.

>>> Amit 3306,

Next time we meet for a t-bhp do, let's travel together!

When are we having our next meet? Withdrawal symptoms.

Drive safe.

P.S. :
1. Going by the quality of the pics, I have to think many times before I summon the courage to post whatever pics I shot that day. Obviously, that vision and that decisive moment is not there
2. gostel, Sprucegoose and I have had a post -Kaas mini meet last night, topped with dinner at Baghdadis in Apollo Bunder and rounded off by meetha paan (courtesy gostel)!

Hey guys,
Extra late, but i have arrived.

Will write a detailed post by tomorrow (including replying to everyone) & add a few pictures as well. Have gone through the entire thread & it was indeed a most memorable experience.

This is just a short post to let everyone know im finally here & that it was a real pleasure meeting everyone.

The driving & the places visited were an excellent experience & im ecstatic to have made it.

In other news, we reached Mahabaleshwar safe & sound without any hiccups & yes, the drive was out of this world. Highly recommended!
Even took a short video which i will upload & post here. The route was recommended by almost everyone i asked & even though it was at night & we did not see any scenery, the night added to the experience of the drive by heightening the sense of sound.
Smooth, winding roads & listening to the sound of the engine & the FFE echoing all around! Just Fantastic!

The route im talking about is the one ive posted here as Route 1 (Satara Road all the way).
Known by different names to different people (Satara - Medha - Mahabaleshwar)

Finally, before ending this short post, i would like to whole heartedly thank Turboholic (Amit) for all his co-ordination & help. Others, please forgive me for mentioning only him in this post but i think he deserves it & most of you will agree.
On a personal note, he happily dropped us all the way till the starting of the route to Mahabaleshwar (like he said "i will drop you till from where you will not have to take any turns).
Cheers to you mate

Excellent! Did you rest the camera on something at least? This cannot be totally handheld?

No, it was not handheld.

1 sec exposure will be too much for anyone although I have managed something like 1/15 at times. For this I used the wall of the enclosure from where we could see the falls.

Next time when you go down south, just see whether you find them anywhere if it's not an issue pal.
I will try to get these movies. Also I have some very good Malayalam movie CDs/DVDs which are more recent movies, but excellent ones. You could take the originals from me and make copies if you like. Will PM you the titles that I have.

I recognized you from the photos in your travelogues. And I knew you were coming in Star's city. Since both you and star were busy taking pictures, I thought it was best to leave you guys alone. I am hoping that we meet again and then spend some time together.
