Man thats a collection im jealous of. Gonna try the wheel armor and trim coat next.

It will look great on deeper color cars. Was seeing Sunnyboi's bike photos today, it looks great.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

hi

Can I use collinite 845 as a sealant after polish and top it up with wax? Or is collinite 845 itself is a wax only? The bottle says 'insulator wax' and I am not able to understand what does that exactly mean.

Hi

collinite 845 is a wax. You can use it right after polishing. You wont need to top it up with other waxes.

Thanks! I, for a moment, thought that it had the properties of sealant as well as wax.

So the proper course would be to use megs UP, top it up with a sealant and thereafter apply collinite 845.

Now, if this is correct, which sealant would you recommend?

You're welcome.

Collinite 845 is a pretty strong wax. Ive applied it on my car and it lasts close to 5/6 months easily. You wont need a sealant actually. Its more of a hybrid product, durability of a sealant, looks of a wax.

There are many good sealants in the market. I cannot recommend any right now as it would be going against forum rules regarding commercial interests. Perhaps other forum members would be helpful enough to clarify your query regarding sealants.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Hi guys,

I have a peral white Safari which badly needs TLC nowdays. I waxed it few times but thought of polishing this behemoth gives my shoulders pain. Do we have any place in Bangalore where we can learn to use rotatry?

Any classes etc?

Indeed Larry is one great detailer. Not only /drive, he has his own video channel AMMONYCDOTCOM. Lot of tips and tricks there and many interesting cars as well.

I loved his videos of restoring the Porsche.

Re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

I dont have the time and other resources to detail my car extensively(except for a coat of wax once in a while) but I have a query about my Dio as well as a trial of a product I got.

Before starting the post, here is the result of a coat of Armoral wax and polish followed by a pure caranuba wax I got as a sample from a shop which sells such stuff. I dont remember the name but it is a German product. I was satisfied by the gloss it gave after applying to my car and my Dio. Cloudy days in Bangalore so I couldnt make out the real shine, but here you go:

Though the gloss was to my satisfaction, I am annoyed with the Orange peel that is on the front panels. The sides are better if not excellent but the front Hood and the face are not at all smooth. This spoils the clear reflection. What can be done to remove the unevenness? Are there anyone who specialise in Bike detailing? I dont want to experiment with Rubbing compound make things worse, for I at least have a swirl-free surface from one year that I have had the vehicle from.

Any help with this?

Any online stores selling Collinite wax?

From where to order a genuine product?
