Not the aluminium spacers, but the Coil spring Assisters at the rear.
I'm thinking of getting for the front too, Thanks to unscientific Bangalore road Humps.

I want to ask you that what all will be done by HASS for 55000 km service?

Should I ask for any additional thing to be done?
Just verify/check the prev service history. If it has been done at 50K Kms, then 55000 Kms service will be a general CHECKUP service.
This is more of checkup(functioning of all the parts) + topup service. No need to change any oil (as long as it's not low, oil change is once every 10K kms) + suspension retorque(if required) , Wheel alignment, Balancing, Airfilter cleaning etc

Speed (km/h)-- RPM
85 ------------1600
100 -----------1900
104 -----------2000
120 -----------2400

In all cases, Vtec was on.

FE about 15 (guesstimate, from kms travelled vs fuel gauge reading, as 07 model does not, thankfully, have a FE display). From Pune city to Goregaon, Bombay, and back. So about 80% highway like road conditions and 20% traffic.

@dot, don't just go by the guesstimate, the fuel guage bars say a different story when you drive in an inclination & flat surface.

Mine is a MT.
The speed vs RPM is different for MT(5th gear) when compared with AT Civic.
Just a rough estimation, in my car the reading would be as following
Speed (km/h)-- RPM
60 ------------1500/1550
80 ------------2000/2100
100 -----------2500

Wow, thats a lot of difference in RPM vs speed values in an MT and an AT.

From tankfull to half full () in city traffic I get 190-Kms. By half full, I mean when the fuel gauge's exact mid bar light goes off. This corresponds to 10km/l when the math is done after filling up the next tankful. Yesterday the half mark came at 290Kms. Hence it looks like FE ~15.

On an pure Highway drive, as per the RPM/Speed reading when compared with AT & MT, AT civic should give more mileage than the MT Civic.
AT Civic -- > more speed but very low RPM. Engine is running more economically.
ex
AT Civic ------------MT Civic
Speed (km/h)-- RPM Speed (km/h)-- RPM
85 ------------1600 85 ------------2200 (~)
100 -----------1900 100 -----------2500 (~)

Every 5K (15K, 25K, etc) service is minor, just the check-up and top-up.
Every 10K has oil changes, etc.
Every 20K has air-filter changes, etc, and includes 10K jobs also.
Every 40K is relatively major with fuel-filter changes and includes 10K, 20K jobs also.

So 55K is a minor service.
My cost was Rs.827/- back in Jan-2010.

60K has also the Transmission-fluid replaced for the first time (for both MT and AT).
My 60K service costed Rs.6,304 in April-2010.

(But this also depends on the history of services properly done till 50K).

That could possibly cause neck pain, and could cause back pain too. And since your legs are a bit outstretched trying to reach the pedal, long drives could result in calf muscle pain.

Driver seat should be as close to the steering as possible. But how close? The best way to find the ideal position is to move the drivers seat forward till your knee hits the underside of the dashboard. And then move the seat backwards so that the space between your knee and the dashboard is around 2 - 3 centimetres. I find this to be the ideal position - no neck pain, back pain, calf pain.

Basically, if you under 60 years of age, if you have pain in any part of your body (under than bum ) while driving, there is a problem with the driving position.

@ cyborg -> Adjusting the seat distance from the steering should probably be the first step. Then do (3), (4) and later (1) and (2).
Well, I am perfectly OK with my seating position, no complaints . I have driven for up to 12 hours in a day and never had any issues. Neck pain is not due to driving, it is a medical problem I had earlier. Doctor has advised to keep a support for neck, hence the cushion.

Back from the 60k service aqt Apex Honda, Kurla-
Jobs done:
1. Oil change
2. Air filter replaced
3. Oil filter replaced
4. Transmission oil change
5. Brake oil change
6. Engine Tune-up
7. Throttle body clean
8. Injector cleaning
9. HDS Check-up

- Also got the free wax polish done (Redeemed one of the vouchers received from them). Did not do the alignment as it was done only 1000km earlier when the tyres were changed. This was a part of ASC and hence do not know the exact cost of the job.

Was informed about the engine mounting being weak and that it might need replacement in the near future. However, I do not feel any vibrations during driving, so waiting for now.

Can you share the bill amounts?

Have never done the following on mine in 1 lakh kms and nearly five years so far: Engine Tune-up, Throttle body Clean, Injector cleaning, engine mounting replacement.

What is HDS Check-up?

My 60K service came to Rs.6,304 in April-2010.

I think he means the Honda diagnostic system scan was done. Are you sure your car's throttle body and injectors were never cleaned. This sound like pretty standard stuff which is done during servicing. It's good to know that your car's engine mounts were never changed which is a pretty common problem reported by civic owners on this site.

I am not 100% sure, but even if they had done this behind my back, I still did not see any extra amount for these on my bills.

So far no problem! Maybe my batch (May 2007 model) escaped this problem.

My car is covered by the annual service contract, hence I do not know the exact amount for the jobs done during the individual service.

The HDS is the Honda Diagnostic Scan which is covered as one of the freebies in the ASC.

6th/25k kms service

Got the 6th/25k kms paid service done for my Civic today at Ring Road Honda, Gurgaon. The odo reading was 24312.4 when I dropped the car in. Time since purchase is around a week short of 1 year and 7 months.

Total came to INR 993 post-tax (INR 900 standard labour charges + 10.3% ST rounded up). No other charges, not even consumables, most of which didn't need topping up.

As usual, HASS is good when it comes to the regular stuff, but has no clue how to reproduce and fix car-specific issues. I knew this but I persist in mentioning these issues during every service. One's got to do what one's got to do!

Regards,
spadix
