I have a doubt: They removed the front suspensions to replace PSB.Do I need to redo Wheel Alignment ?
TASS themselves should have done it. If not, please get it done outside. In my case, when one of the struts was replaced under warranty, got alignment done outside only to find that TASS had done it, when next day I found the report in the glove box. It was not even mentioned in the invoice.

How many of us would seriously consider retaining our Vista's once the warranty (and extended warranty) expires? Going by the amount of replacements that are happening in so many cars I am too afraid to retain it after 4 years. Parts might be cheap but I will simply not have the patience to leave my car at the TASS and use alternative modes of transport for those many days. As of now, I dont mind since I am not pating for parts.
Maverick, i also had a same feeling and after noticing rusting in door panels and beeding i decided to put a full stop for the fear so i sold off my vista aura for 3.9lakhs and bought a linea(i actually exchanged in) and i think, have made a good decision.

Help Required.

Hi All,

My Vista's front left tyre has problems. The outer left portion of the left front tyre always wears off fast. The alignment and balancing has been checked and corrected atleast 5 times in the 20K kms it has run. Every shop says that the alignment is perfect and they have corrected whatever slight problems were there. The car does not pull to a side nor it vibrates at high speeds. So even I feel that the alignment is almost perfect.

Now the sad part is that, all the tyres have uneven wear (due to rotation) so much so that I have to replace them ASAP. Remember this is happening at 20K kms. The tyres are Bridgestones that came with the car.

Will this be some kind of suspension problem ? Why are they not able to find out the reason ? All the service centres are clueless. Please let me know your suggestions/thoughts. I have to get this issue solved and then buy new tyres. Otherwise even the new tyres will have the same fate.

I drove my car after quite some time & as usual I started noticing a typical 'thud' kind of sound from the left side. I am now a worried man since I hate taking the car to the service station almost everytime I start driving & notice things are even slightly imperfect. However I dont want to take any chances over here & hence will be doing that only.
Has any 1 faced this situation? Is this sound coming from an ailing suspension or its just a bush that might have gone bad? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I have alignment(done in a tyre shop) done last Monday. But ,the Report is saying "2007 Indica Vista"(on a Hoffman Machine) :| While IINM ,Vista is sold from August 2008 or so! I cannot read the Print Out they gave Me;but, the Reading is Different than What Owner's Manual Suggests. The Wheel Alignment Details are Given in Owners Manual Though.

@Maverick1977: I have exactly the same "Thud" Sound Coming from left Front Wheel and feel Shock is Not Travelling as it must. TASS is Clueless about this.

Moreover ,I get Screeching Sound from Rear Suspension Which they said is from the Coil Springs.Last Time,They Oiled it and Sound Disappeared For a Week or So.
Any Idea?

I have completed 18000 Kms on my Vista quadrajet and nearing my 20K service duration. When is the earliest I can go in to get the 20K service done. I was also planning to get the synthetic oil and few other fixes done. At how much kms did you guys go for the 20K service?

Guys, My Indica Vista's LHS Rear door lock is not working. If I lock the car using the remote key, all doors are locked except this one. My question is, could I remove the screw visible on the inner hatch and try sorting the issue myself. I don't have much experience in doing these sort of stuff. Pls assist.

roadracer, give it a try. it looks like the actuator might have a problem. It could be a loose connection or might have gone bad!

Thanks!
During my second service I enquired about this switch. I was told that during an impact there is this sensor in the car that cuts-off the fuel supply to the engine. This sensor also cuts-off the fuel supply if the car hits road hump at higher speed too. In such a case the engine switches off and one needs to press this switch to resume the fuel supply. To be frank I have not seen anything related to this in the manual however the service engineer confidently said that this is given in the manual.

I am faced with a peculiar problem with my indica vista aura quadrajet.

The car is not starting at all(when i turn the key its not cranking at all. There is not sound nothing. But this problem is not reproducible in a consistent manner.

Once I had the problem when I tried to start the car and car was not starting. So I did a dakka start ,went to the workshop .You know what when i switched off the car and restarted it ,it started perfectly.(I did that for like 5 times and everytime it started perfectly)

I checked all the relays and fuses (in the workshop) and I am not sure what the problem is.

Has anyone faced this issue before.

Thanks

Looks like Starter needs to be replaced. I had faced similar problem and the starter is changed under warranty.

Just try to start car 3-4 times and see if it repeats the problem. In my case if I start car after 2-3 hours car was starting but if need to restart it again at lesser intervals then It was refusing to do so. The problem has gone after starter replacement.

hdi_pro, why don't you ask the TASC to look for error codes by plugging in their analyser? I am sure they will find the error code which might represent the problem.

Cheers

Squeaking sound

Guys, wanted to know if condensation (mist) cause belt slip resulating in squeaking sound?

I had parked my car out (open ground) for close to 3 hrs. There was a lot of condensation outside the car by the time I returned. I started driving back, when I heard a loud squeaking sound as I accelerated to climb a 3-4% steep gradient. The sound disappeared as I rode on flat road. what I wish to know is..
  1. Could this squeaking sound is because of water condensation on pulleys resulting in an belt slip and that irritating sound?
  2. If not what might have caused this? do i need to take the car to the service center?

Apart from condensation, this can also happen if the belt tensioners are not giving the needed tension. Does this issue happen all the time, or was it a one time issue? If this continues to occur, suggest you to get it checked by A.S.S. However there is nothing to worry as such.
