Ok. I am going to meet them anyways.

By the by a small update.

My last tankfull has got me 12.8km/l, that too in the city drive. Seems it is improving. Driving the car much faster and revving the pedal is giving better mileage. My average speed was 28kmph.

Thats a very good mileage
I checked mileage at every Avg speed bucket & got following FE

9 kmpl @ 18-20 kmph avg speed
12-13 kmpl @ 28-30 kmph
14-16 kmpl @ 45-60 kmph
13-14 kmpl on highways @ higher speeds

Just curious, People usually say that "after 1st service mileage improves". Why is it so?

Linea (P) owners, what changes have you noticed after 1st service?

Me? Nothing.
May be due to the fact that car runs smoother when engin oil & may be oil filter changed, Air filter cleaned etc. This may improive the FE also, dunno?
I've not got the engine oil changed in 1st service. may change it anytime now

Tyres were shining and underbody was thoroughly cleaned
Thats what Linea's 1st service is all about. No oil change, nothing. 0 Rs charge, just the air filter was cleaned with compressed air.

No change neo, maybe change for those who get oil changed at 1st service, car may feel smoother for some days.

Yes karthik with 100% a/c on. It was more of a manual calculation. MID shows 12.6.

Regarding first service what coolboy says is bang on. It would had been better if fiat had done the first service at 7500kms

geeash,
I dont think extending 1st service to 7500 would have been a good idea. That would have created a world record

The reason for early 1st service is because they check eveything including underbody, top up fluids and people can fix any problems they find ASAP. Some cars have first service at 1000 kms. Buy the car, drive for 5 days and service due, just normal checking.

During my 1st service, they opened air filter using the 3 SCREWS present on engine cover. I wanted to see where air filter is so was standing in service bay. The cover comes down, pull out air filter, clean and refit. I will do it every 3-4k kms as a DIY. My bad that i forgot to ask where Pollen filter is . NEO, you are going for 1st service na? Why dont you ask them?

Also, those who changed engine oil at 1k kms thinking of metal shavings which can harm engine its good, those "kanjoos" like me who didnt now its better than 1st oil change happens at 15k kms. No use going to change oil now after completing 4-5k kms.

Coolboy
Just check out the engine oil and see if it has become black and watery in consistency. If it is like that better change the oil at 7.5k as vahan had suggested.

geeash,
Have checked it at the 1st service in front of SA, he said its absolutely fine.
Believe me the synthetic oils last atleast till 10k kms. For my Scorpio i use Mobil1 and service int is 12-15k (get the service done at my friends serv centre).
Dont worry, at this stage oil must be almost new, in petrol cars engine oil turns black after a long time.

miniature

Finally posting pictures of the miniature model of linea i recieved. I wanted the miniature to be in same colour of my car, hence red. I guess fiat took more time to manufacture the miniature model than the time thay took to manufacture my origional beauty. so a delay of more than 2 months in waiting period. The actual cost is Rs.284 and it is a 1/43" scale model.
The pics

Hey Ashwin

Thats a very nice miniature. The color shine is tremendous. Did you do your usual weekly Wax Polish to this model also ?
