Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and Deputy Chief Minister Stalin would inaugurate the plant on Friday, the official said.

Ford had signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government last year, under which it would invest an additional Rs 1,500 crore to expand the Sriperumbudur facility.

The investments include ramping up the Sriperumbudur facility to make new engines and for production of Figo,

I am bit surprised to read this article. Does Ford have a facility at Sriperumbudur?

In India Ford has its facility only at Maraimalai Nagar near Chennai.

Hi Jackson, as told by trammway we are just intending to provide the correct information to the community. As soon as I read the article, I felt few observations are wrong in the article.

YouTube - Ford Figo First Drive
Keshav, Thats a nice videos to share. Figo does look a lot composed on those roads. Nice place, reminds me of Kerala.
Surprisingly Boneham seems to be excited about the 1.2 Engine .

Folks,
isn't it proper to have the Fiesta MK6 discussion to be on some other thread?

You are right. Its looks good on this video. But Figos looks are not as cool as Beats looks. I feel they should have made it more funky. Rear could have been better. Side profile is absolutely bland. For today, Figo's looks are fine compared to Ritz, i10 but a year or two down the line, it would look really dated.

fusion

sorry for my ignorance- did not track it so closely as to what is the difference between this and the fusion?
For me- looks almost like the fusion and also is a large hatch. The Fusion i guess was not much of a success at all primarily having a sluggish engine..
Again, if i sound unaware on this..i really am- welcome some enlightenment from more knowledgeable souls on this aspect

Fusion and Figo are pretty much different except for the too similar silhouette. Let's just forget about the Fusion. Infact it's stopped now.
