Saw this Santro (pretty new) parked at Central station on 9th March 2010 - looked like the owner either forgot about the car or has gone on a long trip. Was fully covered with bird-poop, dust and tyres were devoid of air.

Was again at Central on 12th March and the car was still there.

Is there a way to trace the owner from an online database using the regn. number and inform them ? The Kerala RTO has some such online database, IIRC.

I drove by the new Assembly building Sunday but couldn't click pics as i had company!. There were lot's of people interested to see the new structure and i couldn't find parking. Looks quite impressive and i'll take some pics soon. One factor for sure is that Anna Salai looks a lot cleaner than usual thanks to the VIPs that came in for the Assembly inauguration. The following pics will attest and i hope more inaugurations will happen so that the rest of us can enjoy cleaner roads.In one of the pics is a banyan tree on Harrington Road which i remember from my school days and i'm seeing more and more Chevy Beats and Nanos on the road too, which is way cool. Cheap chic. Chennai is also changing.

The latest hatchbacks to hit the market are on the street and looking good too, i might add!. BEAT, POLO, Figo and who gets to name these cars?. Micra sounds nice, though!. The new Swift better be real good!.

I tried taking pics of the new State Assembly building but traffic got the better of me and the traffic cops didn't help either. They didn't let me park where i thought i could get a good view.I told them i wanted to take pics and the response i got was 'take pics Sunday when there's less traffic'!. Couldn't argue with that!. So, here's a glimpse of the yet to be completed building plus pics of Beach Road, Anna Salai NH Road and RK Salai. Just driving around for now.

The next time i sit in a driver driven car i will take pics of Chennai's two wheelers.They are a class of their own and no words can describe their outrageous driving other than expletives. Which i cannot express here, so enjoy the car pics. I hope!.

Thanks. I agree with you on the Ritz. I came across a cool looking ,IMO, Superb a while back. And, a couple of pics while driving around too.
