These bikers don't understand that they are risking their lives by driving in such a manner, they think cutting across is their birth right. I always maintain the right most lane, this way I ensure that bikes don cut in & they keep honking from behind.

Bangalore does not have such high two-wheeler density when compared to chennai which result in slightly more relaxed ride during the peak hours.

I have read somewhere that Chennai has the largest two wheeler population among all cities in India. Is this true?

I read somewhere that 70% of the traffic in Chennai is two-wheeler. can that be true.

Certainly seems like it sometimes, and goes to show why they drive as if the road is theirs: It is!

Only the Burmese are not there anymore. They have left for cooler places elsewhere.

Wow..that was a nice trip to Chennai..thanks for the snaps

It was really disapointing to know that "Woodlands Drive-In" is no more !!! What a place it was to chill out..we used spent oodles of time at that place either munching away delicious Dosa-Sambar, Drinking coffee, or doing nothing but just enjoying our smoke !!!

I wish they revive that place again !

Well S3va, for all you know drive-in would now be the resting place of our CM once he is dead! When you visit chennai in another (say) 10 years, you can also visit woodlands drive-in.

That looks like the Scorpio which was ruined by Kitup design. Here is a pic from their site.

'Ruined' is the diplomatic version.

The lighthouse has got a new coat of paint. Looking spiffy to me.

Thanks!. I was intending to update with pics but got busy a bit!.

The new flyover linking to Kotturpuram and Adyar/OMR is swell. What a difference a flyover makes!.There's a pic of a new Hyundai dealership in the most unlikeliest of places and some taken while driving around.

Where is this new flyover ? I know that the present Govt is busy building so many flyovers. But Adyar Madya Kailash region badly needs a flyover. It is a nightmare during the peak office hours.
