Kp,
In 15 inchers, he recommended me to buy 195/55-15 S-drives rather than 195/50-15.
What do you say?

I'm sure 195/50-15 doesn't touch in Getz but dunno about 195/55-15.
195/55-15 will show more of speed error but will give u better ride quality than 195/50..
If your dealer guarantees u that 195/55 won't foul anywhere then only u should consider it.
BTW which dealer ??

How much will be speedo error?

Dealer is Sai iyengars on CMH road.

He is quoting Rs. 4250 for 195/60-14 Michelin PP1 and 3950 for XM1+.

Do you know any1 in sai iyengar who can get me a good deal?

I have decided to buy Michelin PP1 195/60-14 finally.

Visited sai iyengars and foll is the breakup:

Buyback of 5 good year gps2 stock tires 5 X 1750 = 8750 (No buyback for steel wheel)
New Michelin PP1, 5 X 4100 = 20500
Plati or Lenso 14" alloys 3200 per piece
Nuts 800.

I am buying 4 alloys and 5th michelin will be mounted on stock wheel.
Total amount to be paid is 25350.

Are the prices ok?

Pay 4k each for the PP's. And keep the steel wheels, if you need to sell the car later on you can always use the alloys in another car & sell the car with stock wheels.

I feel the deal is ok. Around Rs100 more here and there thats it...I think he doesn't have 195/50-15 S drives in stock.

U can also try to get a deal from Hercules tyres (Mr Saravana).

Offset. Do you know what is the stock wheel offset of GetzD? I am trying to find out but nobody seems to know.

PCD is 100, plenty of alloy options available.

Offset is 38.
Any alloy with offset 36, 38 or 40 will be fine...

Thanks a lot KP.
I will ensure that the alloy offset is in this range while finalizing alloys.

DJ, alloy design finalized?

Not yet. The dealer has asked me to visit a day before taking delivery. He will be showing me all the designs available in plati, H&R and Lenso in 14".

Check out the pic. I am looking for something like this:

Hercules tire dealer told me not do balancing after mounting tires on alloys. No alignment.
He told to do it after 500KM as tires and alloys have to set. I dont know what is he referring to. Can anyone clarify?

KP,
Yes bright silver.

I am going to buy alloys and tires today. I want to get alignment and balancing done right after installing alloys. Is that ok?

Yes, get the alignment done before leaving the shop with new set of wheels..
Do test drive the car and make sure everything is fine before making the final payment.
Good luck.

BTW what size wheels are u getting??
