Oops... sorry missed that.

Michelin only dealer is offering 2400 /tire but then I will have to go for PP2s(expensive). Others are offering ~2K /tire.

2K is a very good deal. Here its between 1.5 to 1.6K

I think michelin dealer is trying to adjust the money. He is charging more for pp2 and showing you that he is giving best offer for stock tires.

Actually there is huge difference between 14" PP2s and 15" PP2s. 14" PP2 tires are available for ~4K and 15" for 5800.
15" Yoko S.Drives are available for 4.5K

Is PP2 really worth the premium??

No. Go for the S-Drives

We have pothole filled roads in and around bangalore and i should not end up with a bent rim. Also the ride quality would be on lower side compared to stock ones. Thats my concern. If S-drives provide decent ride quality then i will buy them.

Am novice about cars
My Getz has 155/80 R13.
I'm not looking for Alloys but am looking for R14 Steel wheel with proper upsizing.
Is it possible to put 175/65 R14 and remove 155/80 R13 without compromizing on ride quality and handling.

Please do guide me.

You can very well use 14" steel wheels and mount 175/65-14 on them as the OD difference is 0.83%.
Ride quality will be reduced because sidewall height is reduced by 10mm where as handling and braking will improve a lot.

If you dont want compromise on ride quality while improving handling and braking, you can go with 175/70-13.

I think 195/60-14 would be PP1 and the 15" would be PP2s...

Yes KP. I came to know about it latter.
As per Ishan there is not much difference in performance of PP1 and PP2.

But I still want to go for 15".

P.S. - Expected delivery date of my GetzD is 26th.

Depending upon your budget, choose between Michelin PPs or S drives. U won't go wrong with any of the two.

Good choice! I haven't driven on S Drives but I can say with conviction that PP2s are superb tyres!

Aire pressure in tyres

Hi,

Hyundai recommends 33 psi in front tyres and 30 psi in rear ones (for 2 people, for full load it is 33 psi). This recommendation is for stock 175/70 R13 tube-type tyres.

However I always kept all tyres inflated at 33 psi regardless of load, and it worked for me.

Now recently I changed the tyres to Michelin XM1+ 175/70 R13. Now should I keep the tyre pressure same as earlier or should it be any different for tubeless tyres?

\N

Maintain 33psi for all tires..In case u feel the ride is bumpy then u can lower it to 30 psi..

Spoke to Sai Iyengars, CMH road and they are quoting

Michelin PP1 195/60-14 for 4200 per tire
Michelin XM1+ in 195/60-14 for 3950 per tire.

Are the prices ok?

P.S.- My car is in-transit and will reach bangalore on wednesday(21) and i am planning to get it on 26 or 27
