Saw this pretty Morris Minor at a petrol pump at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. Seems like a runner, very lovingly maintained.

The owner was out on a leisurely family drive, on Independence day, and was filling up the radiator himself..
The expression on his face was not unlike a loving father feeding his child.

Made my day !!

Here is a religious procession probably in or around Ahmedabad. A vintage car was also used, probably at that time these cars were the current models running.
If anyone can identify His Holiness please let us know.

The blue BML car is a Plymouth Savoy said to have been owned by the actress late Nargis at one point. As of now, Chermas Guys own this beauty and is mostly seen outside their Chirag Ali Lane Residence on Sundays, when it walks out for the much needed weekly bath.

Spotted a classic today! A late-'60s red Chevrolet Impala! Made my day! Unfortunately, I was a little slow with the camera and couldn't manage to snap it on time. It was being driven on the other side of the road, along with the on-coming traffic.

Stunning paint job there. Wonder why the grille is painted and not chromed. It's fairly easy to get a used grille in decent condition, and in my opinion, that would make the exterior look even better.

This is not a late 60s but a 1960 Impala though. It featured the triple pairs of rear-lamps, retaining the low, sleek looks and 'batwing' tail-fins from the '59 model, except that the latter had "cat-eye" shaped tail-lamps and a different front grille, which were the most notable of all the differences.

Both models were seen in reasonable numbers in different parts of the country. Unfortunately most of them ended up as chopped up "baraat" cars before ultimately being scrapped!
