It seems to have a NEW JERSEY plate still intact on it.
so an LHD car and if my info is correct it is from Northern Karnataka.

Its indeed from North Karnataka, precisely from Haveri, its a One owner car owned since NEW by a family of Doctors. Their Son too a Dentist, good friend of mine, in the same age group. Now has entrusted me with the honour of Restoring it

Just some observations. The car is RHD, so it may have come from Australia. Model would suit.
But why did the Presidents fleet ever have a Ford? Nothing against the car, but normally one always saw upper end cars like Mercs, BMW's, Cadillacs etc. The car has a very ordinary design. But good spotting.

A Fiat 126, or Polski Fiat 126P. Once quite a lot were seen, now few are left, most have rotted away.

Presidential fleet has been well documented. There have been left over Rolls , Packards from the British period. then we have, on these very pages, seen the various Caddies, 50s Chryslers, followed by MBs, both 300, 600 and the stretch Pullman. then came the armored BMW and so on. There has never been a mention of a ' Ford Fairlane'. This car, though a stretch model, is a very ' Plaine Jane, no sign of armor or bullet proof glass. Eventhe interior appears to be of a very shoddy kind. I feel very doubtful it would have passed the selection for a ride fit for our chief executive. Incidentally , no Ford emblem or Fairlane clue to be seen. Harit has observed rightly that being RHD, it's origin could be Australia. But have you seen what magnificent stretch limos are in use in that country ?
