Its not in India. Like I said I came across it on the internet.

scooby uncle when you get the anglia and when you want to redo it after a while, please get it done like the picture posted by GS. the car looks classy.

Would look even more classy with the original rims/hubcaps rather than those alloys......but thats just my opinion!

I agree, BUT, who will do a Good Job??!! I didnt Like your jehangirs workmanship! sorry for that!
I could have picked up the car as is, but then what?

you could have tried hurbertsons or with rasool bhai or suneil.

I think Scooby's Anglia is going to be just fine. Agar usne theek se nahin kiya toh we'll go and give that restorer a piece of our collective team-bhp minds...
Im sure the car will be a prize winner.

Thanks a ton Boss!! a person i know went and saw the car. looks to be coming up OK. just that its got a fiat carb and a few other small nagging problems.The man says car will be ready by 19th and I'm out of india next week back only on 23rd, so guess will have to request him to wait till i come back. will get it in a truck though he says i can easily drive it back!!

Nope. Cant risk driving her all the way from Goa, Let it come to the check naka and then it can be driven through the Octroi. Its a Normal 9-10 hr drive from Goa and in a classic you might spend another 3-4 hours more. Moreover, one does not want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere i rains. So IMHO, the truck is the only way to go.

Absolutely, I agree. More than anything, you dont know how reliable she will be for such long drive fresh out of restoration. Use her for a couple of months, if alls well we'll drive back to goa for a holiday

When do we see pictures of the Beetle and the Dukkar please? Its high time you teach how to restore economically!
