Price too high. Know for sure this car was bought by the present owner about a year back for 1.5 lacs !! Well but as they say there is no price for a Classic....it all depends on how desperate one is to own one...and good original beetles are always hard to find. So it is a very subjective topic. Well I am sure he will negotiate if anyone is keen. Happy to assist in whatever way I can as I live in Mumbai and understand beetle fairly well.

Also where is the gearshift lever?? 'cant see one! That stalk on the column looks like an indicator stalk.

Maybe that wooden walking stick look alike is the gear lever:D

If the engine is all original and in good running condition then definitely Yes.

When you dont mind paying the price for one that you find! ;) :D

Stan,

This car surely would have gone to the Junkyard.

Good to know some noble soul wants it running. Best of luck to him.

Waiting eagerly to know what happened to this car.

Well to cut a long story short, its presently safely tucked away in our parking lot in our township. 'had them bring it in only yesterday, had it briefly washed from the outside, need to clean her up further.

Note: The later rims are temporarily fitted as the original ones were taken off since he wanted the tyres. He has them lying in his shop & am of course not going to leave him without collecting them! Unfortunatley in the process they lost a few of the original wheel bolts so the tyres, especially the front left one, wobbles while moving!! :Frustrati

Ive taken the one liberty of removing the film from the rear glass for now.
