Very unusual to see one on a Commer FC chassis and especially with that extra 3rd axle. I don't remember Commer making a 3 axle so I guess that was put on after the chassis left the factory.

Wow, multi-axle in 1950! And looks much better built/maintained than today's fire trucks in India!

Another picture of a Leyland fire tender belonging to the Mumbai Fire Brigade. Believe its still with them as the picture appears to be recent.

I have seen similar dual cab Mercedes truck with the Raipur Municipal corporation. It had a loading bay right after the cab ended.
