Looks like a Matchless motorcycle , probably a G3L.
Pretty impressive if the lady was actually riding it. Vintage motorcycles of the period had quiet a few levers and controls and getting them to start required a few well orchestrated steps and a heavy foot.

Spotted this one type of truck on the road here in Hyderabad after ages - a Nissan 4W73 1 ton still in service as a tow truck!

Yes- to be precise though, TMJ is a Vellore regn. if am not mistaken.

Maybe it was recently brought from Madras/TN.

I think it is a Madras registration number if I am not mistaken.When Tamilnadu changed the registration numbers of vehicles from letter beginning with M to letter beginning with T in 1970-71 the metropolitan city of Madras had registration numbers beginning with TM...and the rest of Tamilnadu with letters beginning with T..... I think I am right in my assumption.

I do know about the switch from MS to TM series post 1970. And btw, may I correct you- the then existing MS- series vehicle numbers were NOT changed to TM/TN and even now remain if you notice the older vehicles.
But Madras (now Chennai) had TMW, TMY, TMX, TMV etc. as the first series. But TMJ was definitely Vellore. A fellow team bhpian from Madras, sjcherian told me his father had bought a Herald in the late 80s from Vellore, and it had a TNJ regn.
So I'm guessing TMJ would be Vellore too.
